Hello. if i was i walked inside a friends car and he just smoked meth would i get high? If i smelled something that smelled like hand sanitizing wipes would i get high or feel the effects? Also if im in my apartment with the balcony doors open and my neighbor smokes meth is there a chance of me getting high from the second hand smoke? thanks.

No you'd be fine. You might get a small buzz if he hot boxed his car with meth smoke while you were still in it. And that's a big maybe.
The other two are definite no's. Your lungs are incredibly efficient at absorbing chemicals from the air, they have to be otherwise humans wouldn't be alive at our current rate of breathing.
This means that there is extremely little methamphetamine in the smoke he blows out of his lungs.

There has to be a pretty high concentration in the air around you.

This really only happens in places where it is being made.

I highly doubt there are six people all smoking meth at the same time hot-boxing the car.

Lol, That'd be a happenin' car.

Lol. I think to be accurate, you would inhale some of the substance second hand and enough for it to have an active effect on the body in some way (likely not consciously noticeable) but that is a far cry from whether you would actually sense or feel the drug working or actually get high.

What actions you take to avoid the substance and situation all depends on your personal concerns regarding the substance.

If you only dont want to get or feel high, then you likely wont as per previous posters.

However if you dont want the drug in your body whatsoever, maybe have some sort of faith, recovery or health related belief against it and dont want it to be doing anything inside you at all, whether it be noticable or not, then you prob dont want to even be near the smoke, in the car or anywhere close by or near the circumstances you mentioned.

: I agree lol

^ Well, based on how many second hand smoke haters complain about that, i wouldnt be surprised if there was genuine concern and real posts about being around second hand meth smoke.

People complain about my pleasant smelling, nicotine-free (I often use no nic liquid, not always, but...) e cig fumes. They will be worried about any smoke/vapor that they can see.

Unless you were locked in a closet with a meth smoker, it's unlikely you'd receive anything more than trace levels of meth. (If you're the only sober person in a car with 6 meth smokers... you need to find better people to hang out with.)

Meth "smoke" also isn't the same sort of smoke as tobacco smoke (doesn't contain high amounts of cyanide, carbon monoxide, polycyclic aromatics etc) - you don't burn meth, you vaporise it.

You can't get intoxicated from smelling hand sanitizer either - the amount of ethanol in the vapors you breathe in is a truly trivial amount, less than a few milligrams. And some hand sanitizers don't even contain alcohol.

Yeah, you would prob need to drink the whole bottle of hand sanitizer for it to work properly but then you have other issues as well (beyond simply a sanitized stomach) so rather dont do that. In the same line of silly behavior, i remember once my dad joked about drinking spirit vinegar when he was young to get drunk. After trying this with a full bottle i realized it was probably a bad idea. Just stick to items meant for actual consumption.

I think your question has been answered and I'm closing this thread before it starts to "vaporize" into something that won't get any more answers.

Time to hit the off switch.
