When I was prescribed amitriptyline for sleep, I noticed my adderall 'high' seemed to lessen. I tried taking the amil earlier in the evening, in case it was just lasting too long and cancelling out the effects of the adderral I would take in the morning, but nothing changed. Once I looked it up I found out that it was a TCA and that that can cause the effects of addy to lessen. I stopped taking amil every night and after about I week I was back to enjoying my adderral.
I'm now on Clonidine and I would like to know if it's the same kind of thing, but I can't figure out which group Clonidine would be in (ssri, maoi etc). Can anyone tell me what group it's in, or just tell me whether or not the clonidine in my system will negate the effects of my adderall?
i'm on 25mg a night of clonidine and I take it at about 8pm, so by the time I wake up at 6am and take my addy, it should have worn off, unless just the fact that it's in my system is what's lessening the adderall strength.
any info would be appreciated, thanks
