Will a single panel oxycodone test get even a semi-positive result from other opiates like hydrocodone, hydromorphone, fent, or morphine? I will not be tested for the general "opiates" test, just oxycodone.
It shouldn't be positive for morphine or fentanyl. Hydrocodone probably yes. Hydromorphone IDK. Are you sure that's the only test? That seems a little odd.
Alright, well I'm asking before, not after. this is not an "oh shit" post. Thanks of the opinions guys. If anyone can tell me for sure, one way or the other, for any specific drugs I can get away with, I'd like to know. Fent is hard for me to come by, I'm thinking morphine is probably my safest common bet, but I do like the morphones...
Hydrocodone can show up as a false positive for oxycodone but I don't believe any other opiate will. Although hydrocodone and oxycodone can be distinguished on the right drug test.
If it's the one-step test which comes up as first hit on Google then it's a basic screening test which is oxycodone specific and doesn't cross-react with codeine or morphine. The manufacturer is promoting it as a cheap means of determining whether more accurate, more expensive testing for oxycodone is worthwhile.
Oxycodone metabolizes to oxymorphone in the body and could appear as such in urinalysis. But I'm not positive.
Per the manufacturer's website about the same percentage of the drug will be excreted unchanged as will be excreted as oxymorphone, so as long as they can test for the unchanged drug the percentage which breaks down to oxymorphone isn't relevant to the test.
