Benzos Why is it such a production to get and be prescribed Klonopin?

I thought that Xanax was the benzo that doctors were the most hesitant to prescribe but its so difficult just to get a Klonopin prescription too even though I use it legitimately for anxiety. I know about Benzos being addictive and all that but I've tried so many pointless antidepressants, natural supplements, seeing therapists and other stuff and they all did nothing at all for me and this is the only thing that works for my anxiety. I'm tired of always having to argue with my psychiatrist every single time about continuing with my script or if I dare to ask them to raise to it even just a little bit its even more of a production. I don't know what the big deal is. Is this just particularly strict in New York? Its such a production just from Clonazepam and its schedule 4, how do they act with schedule 2 pills I wonder. I even had to give a photo id at some pharmacies and they wrote down the id number on the prescription, you cant get refills you have to get a new prescription every month so I have to pay a psychiatrist every month and it has to be filled not within more than 3 days of the last months prescription. What should I do? I'm sick of having to deal with this
 
Find a general doctor. Head shrinks HATE to dispense meds. Unless of course it's some new SSRI their drug rep is pushing.

My family doctor takes care of all my needs. Good luck.
 
Doctors must have a different view of it in the UK. I have restless leg syndrome something I didnt think treatable but my misses was getting the hump with me kicking her in the night and it was getting to the stage of us sleeping in separate beds. Reluctantly went to the doctors and he put me straight on clonazepam 1mg per night and just put in a repeat prescription and get them every month no questions. The one thing I am worried about is withdrawals I have read on here they can be severe at best. One thing though xanax in the UK is banned so doctors in different countries must have different views on different types of benzo
