Why is it called a tooter? Where the fuck did that come from lol sounds like something some high hippy came up with lol? This is my tooter guys I use it to toot things and I toot and use my tooter see it just sounds weird?

Well, it is made from a straw or a "tube" and sometimes snorting or sniffing is referred to as snooting.

I can only guess that it is a combination of this

I am probably 100% wrong and its etymology is likely a mystery

Interesting. I was thinking it had something to do with H or something. Tar. Tooter? I get the Tube part so Tu (Too) but then the ter?

Its a bullet or tumbler. Don't get caught with one unless it had snuff/tobacco in the thing.

i had a glass one made, and the person who made it for me referred to it as a "snooter." i always associate "having a toot/ tooting" with yayo. other than that, i dont think ive heard the term.

Seems to be a British term: a 'snooter' is obviously something designed for ease of snorting, a 'tooter' is the tube you inhale through when 'Chasing the Dragon'. I'm sure 'toot' is a colloquial term for smoking anything - 'having a toot on his pipe/a cig', but the idea of old steam trains just sprung to mind.
'Toot toot' being the noise preceding the billowing of smoke from the chimney, thus a 'toot' could include 'blowing off steam', ergo: smoking.

Interesting. :)
