Misc Why is dxm so euphoric for me?

When I did dxm in the past, right now I havne't done drugs for a while but it's always been interesting... my senses becomes extremely enhanced, but at the same time I still feel very out of body and like I'm floating. Like colors, music and touch feel amazing and moving feels awesome. Also, doing amphetamines does hardly anything for me as well as stimulants in general. It even feels better than when I did ecstasy.

I usually don't hear these effects from other people. Or most people say they feel pretty drunk and get that out of body feeling. I know dxm is an nmda receptor antagonist, is that all what the effects are from? Would ketamine have similar effects then?

DXM is rather dirty when it comes to it’s pharmacodynamics (effects).

It effects the same receptors as PCP and Ketamine.... But it has a host of other effects that are not to be left out of consideration when it comes to side effects.

DXM is essentially ketamine with a SNRI component thrown in.

If you enjoy DXM chances are you'll like ketamine.

what was your dosage? DXM is well-known for very different effects at different "plateaus".

lol.. yeah there was definitely the nausea. I only used pure dxm though. But it's so much syrup and tastes so gross gives me nausea for like first hour or so after taking it

That's what I thought I had heard it has some kind of maio inhibitor or something but I don't think this would change make a difference would it?

You can also buy the DXM pills with only DXM in them. Granted, you have to swallow like 20+ pills lol still better than drinking syrup IME

It works on so many different receptors, taking noticeable effect on them at varying doses, which is why DXM is so notable for having dose-dependent "plateaus" (at least 4) that make for remarkably different experiences from one another.

In my experience, the euphoric/pleasurable effects you're describing are most consistent with a 2nd plateau experience, and even more so due to the fact that the 2nd plateau is quite typical for a 400mg dose.
