I remeber when I went to the methadone clinic & we'd get piss tested twice a week, I took a lot of different benzos during that time but clonazepam was the only one that they couldn't detect. When I had lorazepam they told me I had taken it by name, so I assume they have a pretty accurate testing system. Alprazolam showed up in my piss as well.
I was thinking it may have something to do with the water solubility (most benzos aren't, while some like midazolam are or lorazepam is slightly water soluable hence the sublingual ativans). That theory doesn't match however. The only other theory I can think of is that clonazepam is a nitrobenzodiazepine, but am not sure if that is reason enough.
Can anybody come up with a reason as to why clonazepam doesn't come up in my piss whereas all the other benzos I've tried do?
