I've been prescribed and tried the other 3 main benzos but none of the psychiatrists I've been to wanted to prescribe Valium for anxiety. Why is that? Whats wrong with it? How is it compared to those other benzos?

my friend had the same issue,
he said that docs are more biased against valium.

maybe it lends itself more to abuse as it's one of the more euphoric benzos?
or maybe it's because it's so well known many drugseekers use it recreationally?

i dont think it's more addictive than other benzo's with a long half life,
because Dr. Ashton based her whole withdrawal method on using valium.

Valium is not a good choice for treating insomnia. You'll become dependent on benzodiazepines much quicker due to valium's extremely long half life and lipid solubility - it builds up & hangs around in your body for a longggg time. It does have a certain notoriety among this class of drugs regardless of whether it is deserved or not. You really should explore any and all alternatives to treating your insomnia before going down the path of benzodiazepine dependence.

Too long acting, more for alcohol detox, sleep. MRI sedation, older people who can't handle anything hard on liver, can be used for a number of things
