Opioids Why does opiates give me a slightly queasy feeling?

When I use codeine or tramadol, I get a sickening feeling in my stomach. I don't feel like I am going to vomit but feel ill.

Welcome to my world. Yes, opiates acan cause nausea in some people, or depending on dose.

Usually in those new to opioid drugs.... nausea does occur until you build some sort of tolerance to the effects.

I agree with the above. Usually if you're a first-timer, it can make you a bit sick. Or you may be using too much. Laying down is the best way to help when you get a stomach ache on opioids.

Seems like when you go overboard with opiates you get sick, and theres a fine line between normal and overboard (well depending on substance).

First time I smoked heroin I vomited several times the next morning and couldnt keep water down until that afternoon.
