Hi, iv been do tons of shit from opioids to alcohol and other prescription meds for over 4 years now and I never ever get withdraws I mean it's the best thing ever but I wanna know why do I have some sort of weird disease or just plain lucky could someone plz help me find out

Hi Poppinmolly.... I've been a heroin addict for over 25 years, and in that time I have met 2 people who never experienced withdrawals from opiates. One was a Native American named Jerry P. and he was my best friend for a lot of years. He died of non-Hodgekins Lymphoma a few years ago, but totally unrelated to his use of narcotics. The other person I know is a guy named Anthony R. and he is still alive and kickin (no pun intended). Anthony can do heroin every day for a month or 6 months or a year and then stop with no ill effects. Some people's chemical make up just allows them to process out the toxins without the bad feelings the rest of us get. No, you are definitely not a freak, just one of the lucky ones. Promise.

Wow thanks cuz I mean I was poppin oxycodine every day for like a month and ran out and just stopped with no pain and the same thing with alcohol but do u know if it's a symptom of something like certain type of disease or somthing and sorry about the loss of your friend

Wow........the rest of us out here would like to be like you where when we run out of meds w/o having any withdrawals.

Careful, doing oxy for a month if you haven't had a serious habit in the past can be deceiving. When I started using heroin I got to the point where I was doing it everyday for a couple months and didn't really get WDs. It took about a full year off on and off use to start getting WDs and even after that they were always mild until about a year after that.

Poppinmolly, this isn't a social media website. This is a harm reduction forum for people who want to use drugs responsibly, not how to get high on wellbutrin and why adderall gives negative side-effects. I apologize if this comes off as harsh, but the mods are going to be up your ass and you'll end up banned if you continue making threads about things that you can easily google.

No, I meant try to insult me again. You're the only one upset here, my friend. Why don't you cool off and stay off the internet for a while?

Naa bit I just snorted a line and iv said it b4 I'd much rather ask a human than google I thought that's what this was for not getn yelled at fo a damn question

1. You are actually the only one "yelling" here. I've tried to be cordial, if not a little sarcastic.

2. You are experiencing some friction here, NOT because you asked a question, but because you insist that something impossible has occurred.

Ask as many questions as you like. But then, take the answers you get with grace, even if you don't understand them right away.
