Misc Why do I need such a high GHB dosage?

I'm about 105kg, quite lean, regularly lift weights and gave GHB a try for its euphoria plus sleep benefits. Others who have gotten it from the same source had nothing but good things to say - the first night 1g was consumed, nothing felt but a light buzz, next night tried 2g, again nothing more than a light buzz. Asked the guy about it and he didn't seem too sure why although he mentioned he was only 70kg and 2g knocked him out. Next night tried 3g, followed by 1g and then felt it - tipsy, slight euphoria, able to walk and talk etc when concentrating, vision blurred a bit, still didn't feel too sleepy but ended up falling asleep quite easily when laying down.

my first experience with GHB and 1-2g had no effects worth mentioning yet 3-4g seemed to head in the direction of a more 'full GHB experience' and not just a slight buzz. Anyone know why this would be? Read up on it but couldn't find anything detailing dose/weight ratios and/or if it mattered. Thanks :D

(was apparently 100% GHB powder then mixed with orange juice)

This sounds normal, the dose/response curve for GHB is quite steep, and different people need different amounts.

Thanks for the response :D So if I pretty much just felt tipsy at ~4g, how do you think effects would alter going up to 4.5-5g? I thought there'd be more euphoria involved but didn't feel too much, think just happy something was being felt. In an article it said something along the lines of 4g being used for patients with narcolepsy to put them to sleep but that would most likely mean people at regular weights.

We don't SWIm here.

Titrating upwards should be done slowly. 0.5gm can be the difference between feeling good and being dizzy and barely concious.

Sorry got my forums mixed up, that makes it a lot easier :D Have you tried GHB personally? I've read up on experiences where people thought it was incredible but I didn't feel like I was anywhere near that.

Maybe you were date-raped a few times and don't remember it. So you got a tolerance to it already.

It's not uncommon for the addition of a small amount to one's dosage to drastically increase the intensity of the experience.
The Moderator is right - gradually increasing titration is probably your best bet.
