why are certain drugs so cheap???

now feel me here..

i was just chillin with a friend who was talking about how they are dieing for acid and was like blah blah i would be willing to pay $XX/hit...i was like willing??? how much does it cost??..hes like normally 2 for XX sometimes i can get them for less...

now i never did LSD but i think i know a little about it like i know it lasts for 5+ hours and its a hardcore trip, i also know(at least think) its made by a scientist in a lab. so you have to have somewhat knowlege and be in the position to get into the lab and gain access to make that substance...

meth on the other hand can be made by any redneck-hillbilly-trailor park dale enhardt who has access to a walmart and the trunk of their car


a gram of coke can be snorted in very short time, it is very plentiful, yet very expensive


you want to get an OXY and that 40 runs you $XX and although you are fucked up that same money could have been spent on maybe 4 hits of LSD


you see where im getting at

why isnt the going rate higher for say LSD which by my accounts is very hard to come by and has to be made by a scientist and not made by some bum in a trailor park or some mexican in the jungles of mexico and found in some form on every other corner in the hood?????

Whether a drug is cheap depends on where you live. All drugs are cheap somewhere in the world. No drug is cheap everywhere in the world.

Cheap drugs are either plentiful in the local countryside (eg marihuana in the US ; coke in Peru) ; easy to synthesize from readily available and unpatented precursor chemicals (eg GHB in Europe ; meth in Asia) ; easy to smuggle in (coke in some African countries).

No, I'm quite happy with this thread. Lately, the quality of OD has been getting better and better. I'd much prefer to see these kinds of threads than "how long do I have to wait after using suboxone before I can get high from oxycodone?"

It's very simple: supply and demand. Lots of people want synthetic pharm opiates, so they cost more.

LSD has a high mark up too. Let's argue it sells for $15. It is probably made for less than 1/10th of a penny. A guy got busted a few years ago making 300000 hits in an old missle silo. And since the doses are on the order of 0.1mg (100mcg), the profits are enormous. But not too many people want LSD

Meth should be more expensive in the states now compared with years ago, as the Sudafed crackdown will effect price.

As I said, its all supply and demand

There''s plenty of fakes going around, but they can be differentiated from real ones
 
people like coke/oxy more than acid

for me it goes. oxy>then coke

the coke high is the best IMO, but only lasts a short duration - which sucks and tahts not the only reason why i dont do it alot, cuz that horrifix comedown

actually the other night i had some bangin ass coke, high lasted for 30 minutes, i fell asleep only an hour after my last mediumed sized line...
 
it has to do alot with how addictive the drug is in itself, like for example oxy's versus lsd, one causes physical addiction the other doesnt, so the person selling the oxy's know that someone will pay for it no matter the cost if they are that sick, as apposed to lsd where its a fun drug but it isnt something an addict really needs. like where i live people sell there benzos for incredibly high costs but they know people will buy them anyway because if they dont they will be sick. ashla
 
^^^^ thats the most reasonable answer...never really thought about the whole addiction/dealer knows you will comeback, and comeback real soon...

lsd is hardcore and not very often you will take it 5days in a row or maybe even consecutive weekends...

it should still be more money for what you get cause it has one of the bigggest bangs for the buck
 
I liked Djsim's answer. LSD, mg for mg is way more expensive that most drugs. To get an "80" of LSD would cost you thousands of dollars.

But ya, it's all supply and demand. And you also have to factor in the ease of trafficking/diverting. LSD while it may be hard to make once it's made if you have a gram you have about 6,500 "hits". If you have a gram of oxy you have what, a couple pills?

damien you made another point i didnt think of and is a great point but...


i wasnt talking about "to get an 80 of LSD" and by weight lsd is more, its the point of purchasing for one time use..

you know i buy 2hits of cid, or an 80 of oxy boom thats my high for the day one or the other...now that 80 depending on your tolerance and what not could have you nodding out and puking or if you have a high tolerance wouldnt phase you...so you might need to do more actually

now i take that 2hits of LSD and regardless im on another moon for5hours..1/5 the cost of the oxy, no physical addicion ,no mental addiction, no having to redose

i dunno if i liked acid and wanted it, couldnt get it, you would think id be willing to pay say.. the price of the 80 OC or a gram of coke...

now you can argue the drugs arent the same drug and they do differnt things like oxy is used for pain, except for the fact no ones buying oxy on the black market if they need them for pain

I think disparity in drug prices has mostly to do with the laws of demand and supply and also the goverments insistence on keeping out certain drugs. For example where im from weed is not seen as a threat by goverment hence its very cheap. Heroin although more restricted is still very cheap and of high quality. Pharms on the other hand are a bitch with prescriptions required for almost all remotely recreational substances even imodium lol.
 
Mostly around here what drives prices up is if a big dealer gets busted, prices sky rocket for a little while then when somebody replaces them they go back down..someone always replaces the person tho. Getting ingrediants to make drugs/making them has never been a big problem for most people with organized operations. The price of meth has definately gone up over the years , but the supply and demand is still there and growing. The "feel good drugs" have alot more people buying and it puts dealers at greater risk , often times cutting, ripping people off , stealing, busting into their stash to support their habit. chances are if someone is selling drugs like cocaine, meth, heroin they are users themselves. Economy plays a role too. Drug dealers got bills to pay like anyone else
 
acid , pcp etc will always be cheaper , its in their nature. But thats just the obvious if someone could post some articles about truly why in alot of areas that'd be nice.

Meth is fucking expensive here and acid is dirt cheap. So cheap that a double vodka with redbull at a club is around the same price. And even then, that's cheap compared to what you would pay elsewhere.
 
Acids cheap cause only a little bit of it is needed in order to trip

Heroin is also cheap at first if you find good shit and before you develope a tolerance.
A bundle once lasted me a week, now I got through one in 1-2 days. I'm sure it's harder if not at all possible to develope such a tolerance or addiction to acid as compared to heroin however.
 
one of the chepeast drug is def. gbl imo.
its getting produced by huge chemical companies
in large amounts and doesnt has to be imported
from overseas.

it always depends on how far a product has to be
smuggled, the cost of precursors etc., how much
police and other feds are involved.
 
1 guy with kilos of ergotaine tartrate and all of the other necessary precursors and lab could make enough LSD to supply the entire country....

The dose is minuscule.... a kilo of LSD would translate to something like 10 million 100ug hits...

It takes an experienced organic chemist with a very well equipped lab and precursors that are watched by the DEA like hawks.... I would bet most of it is imported from other countries... It would be much easier to be in a country where none of these supplies was of any real concern to the government, and then smuggle it it.... getting a couple of kilos of crystalline powder into the country is very easy, im pretty sure they dont bother to train dogs to alert for LSD...

But hell even if you did have the ability and know how to manufacture it, your still left with the issue of "what do i do with 10 million hits worth of LSD?"

The solution to this little issue would be having 'family' connections... the problem is finding them, the DEA has a hard enough time of it... they are good at not getting arrested and distributing it...
