Which drug was increased??

Hi,

ive been put on buprenophine since Friday, I'm on 10mg daily from today. Over the weekend I was on 8mg and the dosage wasn't holding me the full 24hrs (hence the increase) so last night I decided to take 900mg of gabapentin, which is a usual dosage for me, to help with my RLS I was having and to aid sleep, I took them around 6pm, and by 8:30 I was absolutely flying, I have never experienced that with gabapentin and sometimes I will take over 900mg if I'm feeling really bad.

does anyone know if the gabapentin increased the effects of the bupe, or the other way around?

Im not complaining as it helped me out loads, but not sure if to take a lower dose tonight, I don't want to increase the bupe above 10mg daily as I know it will be harder to come off in the long run.

Neither drugs are increased so to speak, it's know as potentiation.

The two drugs you took cause slightly the same effect there fore it's stronger.

Becareful with drug combos as many can be lethal.

^ Yep, just synergy esp in the antinociceptive/sedative/mood-uplifting/anxiolytic qualities.

Many enjoy gaba/gabapentinoids alongside their opioid-of-choice due to this synergism.

Hi, thanks for reply, ahh I see, I'm not used to mixing drugs and seen that mixing these two are quite dangerous in regards to shallow breathing etc so I won't be doing it again. Took 300mg tonight and feeling normal so I'll stick to that.

it did uplift my mood, and was quite euphoric so I don't want to be doing it again due to my addictive personality.
