Miss you mate! Hope you're travelling well.
Good to know!He’s doing well.
I spoke to him a couple months ago and he has been extremely busy with work and personal offline projects.
He’s completely sober now so BL would likely be a bit triggering for him at the moment, but I presume he will return eventually.
nice!completely sober now
Xorkoth has been in contact with folks on BL and he is OKHas anyone heard from Xorkoth since the storm? He used to live in a badly affected area
Where is Gchem?
I really love to hear it tbh (miss his presence though)Hi all.
I’ve been chatting with Xorkoth and he has requested that he be crewed, given he does not intend to come back on staff.
He wrote the following message to be shared with us:
I loved the time I spent with the community, and didn’t think it would ever end, but that after some forced time off because of workload, I found that I wasn’t really thinking about drugs much, which is a first for me since I was 17. I’d found that I’d replaced the hours on Bluelight with woodworking and increased time with the people in my life. Then surviving hurricane helene taught me how important it is to be connected the world outside of tbe internet. So that’s what I am doing. I apologize for leaving you all high and dry without any real notice that I would do so. I just strongly feel that right now, Bluelight is not running parallel to my life path. Perhaps it will again someday. I love you all, and I wanted everybody to know that I’m doing well. Dealing with a lot of stuff, but it’s a new stage of life for me and I’m excited about that.
There are two types of people on this forum: those for which an absence is bad news, and those for which absence is good news. Strive to be the latter! It seemed like an inevitability given all of the positive developments making demands of his time. Add disaster recovery work on top? There's just no time. I'm honestly just really happy for him.
A well deserved retirement.Hi all.
