This idea has been thrown around in a lot of P or N previously.
I'll edit the title of your thread for a better discussion of this topic - I'm glad you opened this door.
My idea for a change would be:
Pot or Not Prelims
All submissions are sent to 1 moderator for the first half of the duration of the prelims. The mod chooses 16 of the total submissions. Two pictures are posted, Pot A, and Pot B.
Each vote lasts ten days. This will be voted on using the normal scale and take into the normal considerations - trim job, T count, general appearance, etc. There are two voting options, Pot A, or Pot B. As this is a PHOTO compition, and we cannot smoke the product nor smell it, photo quality will be a deciding factor in which pictures make the submission
So then we're left with 8 winners and move onto the competition. Same premise as before. Pot A v Pot B in a bracket system. Again, the mod will do all the work
Rules:
* There is no grading scale. There are two voting chooses, Pot A or Pot B. You vote based off of how you normally would.
* No strain names - half the time these are made up by submitters. This can often cause people choosing preference.
* Each submission comes with a description of the high - sativa or Indica feel, characteristics such as smell and high duration, etc. You should include experience (smoking for X years) as well in the PM.
* Submissions are rolling (for those of you who have not applied to college or contests, this means there is no last entry date) for the FIRST HALF OF THE PRELIMS. The main reason for this is sometimes submissions can be slow.
Obviously we need enough submissions to make this work. I can volunteer to do this for you guys if this is something that seems like a popular idea.
Any input on this idea would be welcome, or any other ideas as well... I'm only going to do this if it has the support needed to make it work.
