When MDMA gets weird...

Over the many times of me taking MD i've noticed using strong MD/and or a lot in one session can result in really weird realistic visuals. No, i'm not talking about slight tracers or colour distortion etc, I mean usually after the peak of the MD roll I start to see really realistic, almost have delirious visuals where I see people/things that aren't there. The most realistic visuals i've seen from anything to the point where you can't tell if it's real or not, different to visuals you'd see on a shroom or acid trip. Also it's not just OEV but closed eye aswell, these visuals always give me a very eerie vibe (maybe because I've only ever seen them at night, because i don't roll in the day. But they never scared me).

Who else has had these realistic MD visuals? Leave your stories below :)

Here's some of my weirdest/craziest visuals i've gotten from it.

The clothes line lady & sleeping friend :
A giant party had just finished and me and my friends were walking back to his house, I'd say was a 20m walk from where the party was. Everything was dark but there was obviously street lights and such, we were walking behind a high school. The school was to my left and there were houses to my right, on the footpath there were small trees, I looked at one of the trees and didn't look twice but thought it was a clothes line with a lady hanging her stuff there. She was moving and all, before i could notice what the fuck i was seeing i looked away without hesitaning, then looked back and she was gone. My mind had just been raped in many parts. When we got back to his house, we basically all decided to crash and I was left alone sleeping out on one of two of the couches. I was trying to go to sleep but couldn't for some reason so I sat up, just to see one of my friends laying (sleeping) on the other couch, I called out to him for some reason and he responded with shifting his head to stare at me and not say anything (obviously it wasn't really him but it freaked me out), I just kind of ignored it and proceeded to sleep on.

Fur suit freaks :
Was walking near a botanical garden with a few of my friends, it was a path near a train line but there was grass and dirt all around us. All of a sudden I'm walking and i see two (men?) in fur suits (looked like a lion or tiger suit) just squatting down next to eachother starting into my soul. I kind of just stood there for a second wondering why on earth i'm seeing this, i confirmed with my friend they weren't actually there so i just continued walking. ???
 
One time in a hot tub with about 6 people all rolling on at least 500mg each, everyones faces turned the same for me, same shape, round, expressionless, no nose or mouth, and eyes BLACK solid circles like the eyes on cheap teddy bears. I couldn't tell who was who for a while, lol.


Another time we were outside rolling hard again and one of my male mates left to go get weed from his house and when he walked back he was a really really old woman and my friends started calling him over and i was all like NAH DONT SHOUT , NO LEAVE HER ALONE YOU'LL SCARE HER and looking away, they were like mate wtf and i looked again and it was my mate lol. So vivid. So detailed.


Another time on the come down i was lying on my friends sofa the room was nearly pitch black and all of a sudden this crazy detailed spider/bat/monster eith 8 legs, wings, loads of eyes and massssive fangs just fell from the ceiling on a web and stopped and hung right infront of my face. It was so vivid. I reached out and tried to touch it and it turned into smoke. It was cool


All experiences on at least 500mg of really good mdma, no other drugs except maybe weed at some points, and alcohol.
 
Standing on a traffic island in the middle of the road having a conversation with a lamp post as though it was my best friend, then I suddenly snapped back into reality and thought WTF?

Sitting discussing what we were watching on TV, only to be told "the TV's not on"

Trying to break off a piece from the chocolate bar I was holding in my hand, eventually realising it was my phone.


I love that delirium you get from a solid dose of good shit.
 
I don't understand why I don't have any of these...,.apart from this perhaps, not so much an hallucination but a total lack of awareness of surroundings..

My mate spied me me on the dancefloor at a jungle event rather high on mdma...I was sat down in the middle of it (people dancing round me) and had my whole stash out on the floor (some weed probably, a few pills and some mdma powder I think) and was just kinda arranging the bits and counting them etc aahah oh dear

Anyway my mate scooped the drugs up and dragged me outside to, er, reengage with something approaching reality

I once came back from a trip to get some baccy totally off my tits on E and clonazepam, took my trousers off and put them on my head - much to the bemusement of the mrs. I then proceeded to rip pieces off wallpaper off the bedroom wall. When she asked WTF I was doing, I replied "I need some paper to get this girl's number". That didn't go down too well...

This sounds like MDA to me as well, although when I've gone on a binge with molly I've had fractal visuals but nothing behind my eyelids like with MDA. On MDA, I could see shadows that weren't there and all kinds of sound waves when I was listening to music. I also had mild synesthesia and kept seeing deep background colors in my vision
 
When the first pill doesn't work so you swallow another, then come up on the first, end up sketching out and frightened of everyone and everything in the club so you leave and walk home, the people bending over in the street turned out to be bollards not people, typical I leveled out and had come up properly by the time I got in, yeah I didn't like those pills they took an hour and half to come up

I thought I could see people bending over though, I was laughing to myself, and pissed off I only come up and felt okay like 2 and a half hours after I took the first pill, ruined my night out

I've read mixed things about exactly how much, but a small amount of the MDMA you take will metabolise to MDA. Usually an insignificant amount, but a strong enough dose of MDMA may well equate to levels of MDA active enough to cause those 4am hallucinations..

I've had mind movies, where I slipped into a visual daydream (delirium I guess) of chicks dancing and throwing paint around. I suddenly snapped out of it, thinking I was drenched in neon green paint.

A friend of a friend was laying on the living room floor stroking a non-existent cat.

I saw a DJ turn into the incredible Hulk for a split second, before turning back into a DJ. Then some fucking shirt company stole my idea:

A friend once asked me why I wasn't wearing my yellow sunglasses anymore? He put his hands up to his head in a way that suggested the sunglasses he spoke of were extra large. I was like 'you mean those big ones.. the big yellow ones?'

He nodded yes. 'Because I don't own big yellow sunglasses. I never have' I explained. He looked confused. So did I. I still am in fact.
 
It’s been a long time since I looked at the literature but MDMA to MDA metabolism can vary tremendously from 5-35% depending on conditions. Here are some ways MDMA to MDA metabolism is increased...

-Hotter ambient temperature
-Redosing, and how long you wait between redoses
-Dosage

So someone who takes multiple redoses over an entire night in a hot club is going to get a lot more MDA going than someone taking a single small dose at home.

Add in that some batches of MDMA also have MDA as an impurity and it only adds to the mystery.

Thanks @G_Chem, I didn't know that. I know when I take MDMA it lasts a solid 4 hours while MDA lasts close to 7 hours.; the last hour without anymore visuals but a psychedelic headspace. It's not loved up like MDMA but I get more of a strobe-light effect, which taking grams of MDMA can do after a while although that could be a combination of what you mentioned and sleep deprivation. Interesting

Nope, legit only MD and maybe some weed every time i've hallucinated on it. I don't have psychosis.

That would explain for when i have really pure shit i always hallucinate, i'm really light weight anyways so i reckon just having 150-200mg of good stuff really gets me seeing shit.

I've also thought that but i've had the same stuff with other people and they don't have this stuff happen, but I know it's because i'm a super lightweight and the smallest amount of shit gets me fucked.
I'd say if they had super large amounts of the same stuff they would be hallucinating aswell.
 
How much you guys taking? And all at once or doses spread out? I usually spread my doses out, never had anything like that happen.

Interesting.. Spreading out doses actually should increase MDA metabolism and the “trippyness” but it can still vary based on genetics and other factors. If the doses are small enough it won’t be much noticeable.

I’m someone that generally is less susceptible to the trippy effects of MDA whereas on similar dosages friends will be trippin.

What kind of dosages are you taking spread out in a night?

Hmmm ya you are likely not as susceptible to the trippy effects of MDA or your body simply doesn’t metabolize as much to MDA as others.
