When do you toss out the Christmas Tree?

I recycle mine by burning it and mixing the ashes into my compost heap. But you can also buy trees with a rootball that you can then plant outside.

Tbh, I've never had a real tree, but I've heard that they don't take very well when you replant them. Don't know how true that is, but it's fake plastic trees for me all the way...

Depends on the variety. And yeah a real tree is a must for me. I grew up with them, and choosing one together with my father was always something of a family ritual. Plus then there's that lovely scent which can fill a whole room. Artificial trees just don't have quite the same magic.
