The other option is that you can break a gram down into 10 even units of 100 mg each visually. You'll want to uniformly crush the powder up first, and then using your best judgement maybe split the powder into two even piles and then split each of these into two even piles. You'll have four piles of 500 mg each. Now take each of those piles and do your best to split it into five even lines per pile. Each of those should be pretty close to 100 mg. Normally I wouldn't suggest doing this as eye-balling drugs is an unwise idea. However, given that the dose is sufficiently high, you're not gonna see a huge difference between 85 mg up to 115 mg. So that gives you ±15 mg in either direction with a goal of 100 mg, and I think you'll be even closer if you're really careful and you get a second opinion on the evenness of your lines.
Make parachutes from the 100 mg lines and enjoy. Bear in mind you might want to increase the dose to 2 mg per kg of bodyweight. So like I weigh ~175 lbs which is ~77kg, so for me, 154 mg hits me about perfectly, especially with a 50 mg booster at the 1.5-hour mark. YMMV. Good luck!

If you don't have one and can't be bothered to buy one, I guess you could keep splitting it into two separate but equal looking piles, until you get to around your desired dose, but its going to be very imprecise. Plus if you got big crystals you're gonna have crush them up and thats kinda lame. But its worked for me in a pinch before.

For reals though; don't be a cheapskate, plus you can verify drug weights this way whenever you cop something from the streets.

Volumetric dosing (although I think it should be expressed that you might want to make sure the solution is mixed very well) might be best bet.
Secondarily, splitting things into 20 equalish sized lines.

Volumetric is the only way you can dose accurately without a scale. Personally I would make it stronger, like maybe 50mL instead of a liter. 2000mg/50mL=40mg/mL. So 3 mLs would be 120mg and you don't need to drink an entire glass of foul tasting mdma. I would use vodka so it stays good forever.

I love the distinct nuances of smells this moiety gives us; safrole, isosafrole, piperonal, bromosafrole! PMK.. the glycidic esters yum. It's like a rainbow for the nose spectrum......
Mdma should not have any smell btw. If you're smelling anything, it's unreacted precursor (almost always pmk) which has bitter root beer kind of smell

Thank you, exactly. The Merck manual has MDMA.HCl down as a bright white crystalline salt with no smell and a bitter taste. That's true. It will damn near gag me though; I have to brace myself for the occasional finger dip at a show or whatever…
Sassafras oil smells quite nice though, the essence of root beer. A couple decades ago when I synthesized DMMDA-2 and DMMDMA-2, I started from Indian dill seed oil, and the lab smelled fragrantly of pickles as I distilled the dill apiole from it. Smelled like I was in a diner or something…
Sometimes the 3,4-methlenedioxy-R ring is broken apart to form 3,4-dimethoxy-R and this is carried through to the end product. But yes, subpar conversion yields during the reduction is very often the cause of this.
I've heard that some chemists splash a bit of sassafras oil into the finished product for the purpose of demonstrating that they, in fact, have the real deal holyfield product, as it were. There was a ton of imposter shit out there about a decade ago following a clampdown on Cambodian safrole-containing plants. Idk how true this rumor is, but yeah…

You have the advantage of 100mg doses.
A scale with .1 accuracy is indeed very cheap.
You can divide in half, then divide again, until you get down to ~100mg. Always choose the smaller half.
You can get into real trouble trying this method with even drugs with 25mg dosing. Take it from me. Probably not a good idea even with a 100mg dose.

Just wanted to mention here, expect to need to flavor it, mollywater's been bitter as hell in the past for me, but this is also far more diluted than what I was working with back then.
