Hi guys!

I do have ADHD. 150% sure. (too many doctors). However, i TOTALLY refute to take thtat medicine (RITALIN). The thing is pretty simmple: When I took it, I keep feeling like i'm a microwave or something, all day, absorving and learning all shit that poeople wants me to learn. And after that, at night, what is left is a restless (robot-like)-human body, dying to sleep for months. But this gracious sleep wont happen tonight, just like it didn't happened yesterday, and just like it wont happen tomorrow....

Anyway, at the end of the day, i will feel just like a robot. no emprathy, no willing to do anything. And MUCH WORSE: i cant sleep. And I mean like, not only its difficult to actually fall asleep, but when I finally get it, when you wake up, you fill like you slept for 5 minutes. There were no dreaming, no peaucitul thoughts, nothing that always led, evert now and then to tha great feeling of wake up NEWBORN !

That's what I really miss. A simple thing. A good night sleep

Then, I got my ambien tabs from a frind to perform a lil test. For 2 nights (the first one a week ago, the second last night). Both times, I fet like i was worth it 100% My mood, my willing of living, my happiness, my everything was better. Well, I don't completley believes that ambien can solves the problem conpletely, or even partially, but I believe in the benefits of a godd night sleep, that had to be induced by ambien to happen..

So that gave me hope since DID STOPPED taking Ritalin becayse of its side effects, but the consequences of not taking Ritalin are still there, and arent nearly as pleasant. Its side effects, however, seems to be even worst for me, so I just decided to quit. And since theres absolutely nothing ele im my country to treat ADHD I was pretty much conformed.

But now, since i tested Ambien countering Ritalin sideeffects, Id' like to know if is it correct to ask my doctor to prescribe me Ritalin again, as long as he also precrbibes me Ambien, or a similar drugs to counter the side effects of Ritalin. I don't know i other doctors are prescribing similar medicines in ths situation, or if I'll be doing a dumb question. Because the thing in: I just tested it myself, and since i already did, and it worked so very well, im kind of embarresed to tell him. I would much prefer do it as long as I know there are similar cases, that are in similar LEGAL TREATMENT.

Thanks!

I use melatonin to help me sleep, it's otc and really good for me. It makes you feel more naturally tired since it's produced in your brain, I'd give it a try.

A low dose of a benzo might help curb some of the unwanted side-effects. Like a low dose of Lorazepam or Clonazepam

The ones that pop in my mind are : Temezepam; Triazolam; Zopiclone; Trazodone; Diphenhydramine; Doxylamine;

What is "correct" is to tell a medical professional the medical issue and work with them to find a medical solution or find another doctor.

There is a lot of information around about insomnia caused by ADHD meds, possible treatments, experiences and so forth so have a look but as far as what is correct to ask/say to the doctor, the only answer is 'the truth'.
