Long or short bowls? Fat or thin? I only tried a couple bowls and I just bought a long thin bowl with a dragon on it. I havnt tried it yet bc I don't have any bud right now. And before I use it I want to know what kind of bowls r the best . So what's better? Thanks
 
i cant really answer that question for you i guess for most it personal taste.

With the long bowls i find that the hit is generally smoother.

Short bowls are great for if your on the go they are easy to fit in the pocket. Some drawbacks of the short bowls that i notice is that most of them have small bowls so you can only put a small amount of weed in them, however there are exceptions. The shortest bowl ive smoked out of was about 3 inches. it was a glass bowl and it hit somewhere between rough and semi-smooth depending on how much weed is left. which is also a problem the shorter the length between the bowl and your mouth the better your chances of getting ash in your mouth.

i have had two previous fat bowls and i liked them a lot mainly because i could fit a lot of weed into one bowl and also because they are generally more sturdy.

Right now though i am smoking out of a long thing bowl some would call it a chillum. but for how big it is, around 5 1/2 inches and about 1/2 inch in diameter along with about 3/4 inch bowl i really enjoy it, it is definetly one of my more favored bowls. its small enough to not have to really worry about hiding to hard and if you pack it good, it does the job great.

i dont know if that helped at all but i guess it just really comes down to what your comfortable smoking with.

The thicker the glass, the better. You want the glass to be hella thick, so that when you drop it (you will) it won't break

As said above, shorter ones hit harder with more ash, longer ones give the smoke a little time to cool before it hits your mouth.

The short pipes are great for on the go, not as much of a hassle to haul around.

You also don't want the pipe to be able to lay flat on a table without rolling around if it's got a full bowl pack. This is essential IMO. Nothing worse than not being able to put a pipe down when you want too... Or if you do put it down all your herb spills out.

In the position above you fill the right half of the glass blunt with herb. As it burns down the Ash builds up in the chamber (as you would expect it to). So you just take the glass blunt and slide the left half up into the right half. If you look at the picture it will make sense. This pushes the ash out of the blunt and it falls on the floor. You continue smoking the sweet ganja :)
 
I just posted this thread on Tuesday and my new long bowl that I bought wensday is already broken . I put my glass bowl in my glove box and my friend didn't know and slamed it shut. We heard something shatter and I new right away it was my bowl. So now my friend owes me 40 and that could of gotten us 40 bucks of bud. Bummer but I don't think I'm getting a long one again bc it was a hessel carrying it and it was to fragile.

dont worry man ive to boughten bowls and in less then 24 hrs it was broken. its a real bitch for sure
 
I Saw this thread and took a pic of my bowl, this ain't pipe exclusive though is it? cause i dunno how to describe mine. It's generally large (and by large I mean it can hold a lot more than a gay ass cone.) probably just under a gram if you packed it in tight, but i'm not one to be smoking such huge bowls haha. The main reason I like it is cause I can have any size bowl I want, put a tiny bit of weed in or pile in all my 8th lol.

And to anyone who's gonna start knocking me on not having glass, i've had 2 but I am seriously just a spaz and end up accidentally launching them across the room. I'll get the huge expensive glass piece when I move out. So the plastic can do me for a few more months.
