Today in my woodshop class while using a belt sander and breathed in a whole lot of sawdust on accident. It has caused me to have a very dry, irritating cough. It has also made my throat and sinuses very itchy, making sleep and rest difficult. I have a weird reaction to dextromethorphan, theraputic doses put me in a drunken like stupor, making most OTC cough medicines of no value to me. Also, I am allergict to pseudoephedrine. I am going to head to urgent care later today. What kind of treatment would I get for this cough? I hate codeine, it has a very dirty feeling for me, so I hope it is not what I will possibly be treated with. Thanks bluelight!

With time your lungs will flush the dust from your body naturally via mucous.

Get the doctors to treat you, otherwise. We're not a medical advice board.
