What just happened (25c nbome trip)

Here's a short trip report, I can't go much into detail because I don't remember my trip. I blacked out several times.

Yesterday I had taken 13 libriums so I was a bit high on benzos, when I decided to take a blotter of
25c nbome~800ug~

I put the blotter between my gums, waited 40 minutes and swallowed. after that everything goes blank. I just blacked out and only remember segments like walking up to my mom and telling her I was tripping, then making some tea and next thing I know I wake up not knowing what happened..

As for visuals all I can remember was staring at my closest watching light seep through it like it was some doorway to heaven. Also my roof was morphing into strange DNA patterns and forming stalagmites.

All in all from what I can remember music was pretty great, I also had pretty great CEV's

Did the Librium cause me to black out during my trip? I seriously doubt that as I have taken up to 20 of these and not blacked out, it is a fairly week benzodiazepine. Any input would be greatly appreciated. I took the blotter at around 12:48am and the next thing I know what feels like 5 minutes was hours. At 5:30am I was almost at baseline I just don't remember most of what happened in that time.

(The Librium were 10mg each just in case you were wondering)
 
Of course you blacked out from the benzos, that's what they do.
 
benzos add some stoned-ness to the extreme stoned-ness of the nbome... the most extreme stoned-ness is blackout
 
I've had something similar happen from LSD and alprazolam. Apparently just like there are triggers that lower seizure threshold, there is also something like blackout threshold? Anyway I'd postulate that a strong psychedelic can cause enough decoherence that you get a lower blackout threshold so to speak. And the likelihood of your benzo doing that you would be considerably greater.

Do not combine amnestic drugs with psychedelics next time.
 
Yeah benzos are psychedelics are not a good mix. The benzos reduce or block a lot of the desirable psychedelic effects. And as Solipsis said I believe the combination probably leads to a greater chance of blacking out entirely.
 
If you want something that'll take the edge off without fucking up the trip, try opiates. If anything they seem to enhance the effects of psychedelics.
 
I don't find that to be the case, I find that opiates also dull the psychedelic effects but not nearly as much as benzos. They more dull the intensity of the mental effects, whereas benzos partially kill the whole trip.
 
Yeah i've always noticed the size of my pupils are somewhat related to the intensity of my trip when it comes to psychedelics, and adding an opiate shrinks the pupils, coincidentally dulling the trip along with it. Peculiar. Not bad at the end of the trip, but i believe this can build a dependence to them moreso than if taken alone.

Same goes for using benzos to dull out a trip. The mind is so much more susceptible to impression when tripping, so when something comes a long that is very difficult to work through, the user can snuff it out with a downer. Well, this will translate into regular life much stronger afterwards, when a normal difficult life situation comes a long the user will thereafter be much more likely to turn to downers, and thus a cycle will ever-so-slowly present itself.

In fact, in retrospect, that's how I got addicted to opiates, by using them with psychedelics. They sort of just take the work out of the trip and ruin the integration.

What you decide to do on psychedelics and how you handle handle the mental challenges can be life changing in many ways. You're playing with much more than fire here, be careful.
 
At first the dulling of opiates may seem more subtle but the more numb you feel mentally and the less you care, the more impossible it becomes for the trip to stay really exciting... since things don't seem to matter anymore and nothing is at stake.

Of course ymmv and dosage matters, don't overindulge.
 
What opiates have you guys taken while tripping?
Myself, I sometimes like to take 120-150mg codeine and 25mg promethazine with psychedelics. I like to get into very deep meditative states on psychedelics and codeine facilitates this.

One time I snorted a big line of DPT while still high on fentanyl 4 hours after having an operation (because why the fuck not). It turned out to be the best DPT trip I've ever had.
 
I don't find the size of my pupils has anything to do with the intensity of the trip. I've had no dilation when I was totally fucking wacky on LSA or shrooms, and saucer pupils on the comparatively mild AL-LAD.

Agreed, I get no pupil dilation from 4-aco-dmt, even at 25mg

I've blacked out on NBOMe's before, it was strange. One minute I'm listening to music on my bed, the next I was shoving candy in my pockets at a gas station.. Really weird, I didn't realize it until I was outside, freezing my ass off eating candy and I realized my bed wasn't as comfortable. I had been drinking, but not anything over average, probably 6 shots over 4 hours.
