Hi! I love watching movies high. Recently I've been getting super stoned and putting on some really trippy or awesome movies like the Machinist, Black Swan, and the Game.

All my experiences with psychedelics I've typically only listened to music/explored nature/hung out with friends, but never watched a movie. I have some shrooms, and some ketamine. Wondering which I should watch a movie on and what other drugs you guys think are the best to watch movies on?

Definitely a dissociative. I love how they immerse you into music and movies, I specially like watching sci-fi horror or post-apocalyptic stuff. Depending on the stuff you see you can feel anything from futuristic to melancholic, sometimes feelings I never felt while sober and probably never would have. I miss my dissos

i don't know about a specific drug, but certain drugs give me a really good feeling body high when staring at a screen... not even just psychedelics. like adderall i can smoke weed on andif a movie or music video has vibrant colors, it's really cool.

idk.. shrooms sometimes kind of make me tired when i'm just sitting around.. i like to walk around hiking or play music on them or something where i'm active or i don't really like the body high... i've described watching movies on lsd analogues as a good feeling, but sometimes staring at the screen takes away from the visuals i'd normally be getting, so it's not really my thing... cool movies do kind of create a cool body high though with the colors and what not.

i was watching anime at this kids house while on robitussin one time. i couldn't even watch the screen 100% but all the colors coming out the t.v. were pretty crazy.. i don't think higher dose anything is really good for movies, but low doses are cool

Hell yea, I'm looking forward to exploring Ketamine more... I just tried it for the first time yesterday. Doing my best to practice harm reduction so I won't be using again for a couple weeks!

I personally find psychedelics a bit too squirmy for screen time unless its on the tail end. I'd think probably something thats less stimulating would be good, people watch stuff on shrooms all the time, though shrooms are a bit too deep for me to wanna watch a screen, still.

I don't even really like K, and even after so many years of raving, the craze for it in a party/music settings is still kinda lost on me... But for TV/Movies, its great. It makes it all very awestriking and hard to follow in a way that makes you really lock in. It also makes time passing seem weird in an entertaining way, like when a scene cuts and all of a sudden its months later or whatever, it just captivates me. Constant feeling of, oh my god is what i think is going to happen going to happen? oh it already happened... amazing!

Dune 2 on K was incredible. Except I got a haircut that day and thought i looked like a harkonnen after cutting off my chalamet love locks.

5-MeO-MiPT would be my choice, although an argument could be made for 4-XXX-MiPT instead. I've always found that they enrich narrative experiences.

I would keep it at weed and beer, maybe coffee. I find it a waste of Entheogen to use a strong dissociative or psychedelic for movie hedonism instead of deep exploration, and shrooms gave me straight up bad trips if I attempted to ignore them by wanting to watch Star Trek.
"F- You Asante - I AM THE FRONTIER!", basically :) Dissociatives dumb me down so i miss the plot. I'm smarter internally but dissociatives literally shut your perception (the movie!) down. 25mg O-PCE is like you're having a freaking stoke, a far reaching breakdown of perception and physical coordination that turns you into a semi-brain damaged Chronic Ward cabbage for a precious few hours. You can barely make it to the bathroom and i had to piss in a bottle once to avoid that walk, i just couldnt get up and had to go. Do this at Avatar/LOTR movie night and your gf and friends will hate you :D

LMAO - exactly this! I might get away with watching some Planet Earth on a 4-XXX-DMT comedown, but that's about it. The MiPTs are far better candidates for me.

Dissociatives are ideal for media immersion; music, TV/Movies/Anime, Video games, books. I personally prefer the PCP analouges for this purpose over ketamine as I'm able to maintain some motor coordination, at least for video games. They also cause less visual disturbances as long as I dont go over board. It's easier to read and watch movies when I dont have double vision. My favorite psychedelic for watching movies and anime is 4-HO-MIPT. It has an empathogenic tilt to it that makes me feel connected to the characters and it also has a good sense of humor which makes the funny moments even more hilarious

LSD or Ket. I never really enjoyed shrooms and movies. LSD lasts so long you can watch whole trilogies. K I have to redose a few times during even one movie, for any sort of movie marathon you'd need a lot.
