i bet this has been asked a million times but i cant find in the search and i need to finally settle this score. what is more potent, what is stronger, what is more intense?

OXYCONTIN, i.e. 80s, roxies, etc or Promethazine syrup, i.e. liquid promenthazine, sizzurp

that's like comparing apples and oranges..
oxycodone is an opiate
promethazine is an antihistamine

they do different things.. i honestly can't answer the question.
promethazine may be more sedating,
but oxycodone is more euphoric and has better analgesia.

Buy strongest Im guessing you mean the more potent painkiller. Oxycontin and roxies are the same active drug, oxycodone. The higher the mg the stronger the pill, but roxy's max at 30mg's while oxycontin's max at 80mg's. I'm not sure what sizzurp is, but I believe it's main active painkiller is codeine and that is not as potent as oxycodone.

now when you snort oxy 80's or 2 1/2 roxies i would say by personal experiance the name brand 80 is stronger takeing them oraly the 30 would be stronger initially then 30mg of the 80 because the roxy is instant release so will hit you harder/faster but will last longer and as far as codeine oxy blows it outa the water

Oxycontin/Roxie=Same drug. "Sizzurp"= Lame. Codeine is nearly the weakest opiate. Thats not why i think Sizzurp is stupid either.

sizzurp, aka syrup, is basically any narcotic syrup.

from otc (yea in a few states at low dosages and small amounts at the pharmacists discretion) codeine cough syrup... to stronger codeine syrups, to hydrocodone, oxycodone, morphine, and yep even dilaudid syrups.

the things like dilaudid syrups mainly are for kids who can't swallow pills but are in serious pain (cancer, surgery, etc) so things other than near OTC codeine cough syrup does exist.

If the OP is talking about straight up promethazine syrup then you can't compare oxycodone to a anti-histamine. You might as well compare the oxy to diphenhydramine or doxylamine.

If he is talking about codeine and promethazine syrup however then oxycodone is alot more potent then the codeine. I forget just how much more potent it is and im too lazy to look it up now but oxycodone is a good bit more potent then codeine. Codeine is not the weakest opiate (tramadol or even worse propoxyphene would be weaker and opinions do vary) but compared to oxycodone it's alot weaker.

Promethazine is supposed to be a really good opioid potentiator though so using both promethazine and oxycodone together would potentiate the oxy quite abit id imagine. It would definetely make the nod stronger for any opiate.
