Stimulants What is meant by 'rushing' while high on meth?

I have never used crystal meth, just low doses of dexedrine. I don't plan on using meth but I have a question about it.

I was looking at erowid and they said under the dosage that if you use meth you may get "rushing"? What does this mean? What happens when you're "rushing"?

Here's the link on erowid where it says this: https://www.erowid.org/chemicals/meth/meth_dose.shtml

Can you get rushing from Dexedrine or is it just something that happens with meth since apparently meth is a lot more stronger than even a high dose of dexedrine?

To me it means the feeling when waves of energy and euphoria are rushing through your body when you are coming up on meth or other stimulant drugs. That's the best I can describe it, maybe someone else can describe it better.

Kenny7822 describes it well. I don't find the rush as pronounced because when I use shard, I rail it. I do not shoot it or smoke it. I suspect the best rush comes from using a needle. The one time I smoked it, the feeling was stronger than snorting it and I wanted that feeling to last. I ended up going through my whole lot very quickly. I realized afterward that for me, smoking it was too dangerous. The rush was lovely. I felt like I had thrown open a door and a sweet breeze hit me and held me.

I don't get that feeling from railing it. However, what ever I happen to acquire lasts me a while. I can easily use too much when I'm railing it and it makes me annoying, even to myself. IMO the rush is not worth the cost. I use a little bit of meth when I have work to do. I watched one or two documentaries on meth and people who smoke it and most unfortunate, those who shoot it, get addicted and lose everything. Meth helps me keep on keeping on when my get up and go is gone.

I use meth. If meth starts using me, I will stop. I stopped alcohol. Heroin. Coke. Oxycontin (which I still miss most of all) but I think meth sneaks up some of us and takes over.

In that link, I think they're referring to rushing, as the come on of meth. They talk of users continually using through the day to keep getting the "rushing effect". I've never done crystal, but I have shot a lot of coke and other stimulants, and usually when you use stims intravenously or through smoking them, there is an intense, sometimes overwhelming feeling of euphoria, which is often as desirable, or more so than the high the drug delivers itself. I've found that I definately fall into that pattern of continually using to obtain that intense, almost deafening euphoria. With coke, I've found that repeated dosing, while still unhealthy works the best, because it is such a short lived high. But with meth, and drugs like MDPV, they diliver a very intense rush but also a long duration of stimulation. Repeated dosaging can often lead to psychosis which is incredibly scary and unpleasant. This of course can happen with repeated insufflation or oral consumption of any stimulant, but iv and vaporizing stims is usually much more fiendish.

It means you walk and drive faster everywhere, since the clock is ticking and by God you have places to be, and then you get pulled over by the obscurantist contingent. Damn!

You seem like a smart individual. I would recommend sticking to pharmaceutical amphetamine. Meth seems to run away with most everyone that uses for over a month. I thought I was special. Unable to become addicted until I used meth.

Let's also note the unavoidable neurotoxicity.
