The blue colour was about 50% of why I was attracted to Bluelight. Being my favourite colour it's hard to resist. And if that's not even enough, you have replaced it with black all over the place, the most depressong colour there is.
It is in tribute to the death of Alexander Shulgin, a chemist who was instrumental in the research and discovery of psychadelic drugs. It is called going black, I believe. It is temporary, but I do not know how long.

Mourning is to display the conventional signs of grief after someone’s death. The word is also used to describe a cultural complex of behaviors in which the bereaved participate in, or are expected to participate. The symbols or outward manifestations of grief, as in the use of symbolic colors in dress, the draping of building or doors, and the half-masting of flags as examples of mourning.

The custom of wearing unadorned black clothing for mourning dates back at least to the Roman Empire, when the toga pulla made of dark-colored wool was worn during periods of mourning.
