There's this strange thing that happens to me every once in awhile. I'll get this cold tingling sensation and all of the sudden I find myself in this dream-like state. I'm obviously in my body..but at the same time I'm in this weird place that feels super familiar..as if I've dreampt of it before. When this happens I'm usually in public or at work and it always freaks me out and I have to fight it off..it always leaves me feeling super weak and semi-nauseous. I always have to sit down afterwards because I feel like my head is vibrating and I might pass out. The first time it happened my best friend was there and she said I stopped in the middle of what I was doing and went pale..all of the colour drained from my face. She's the only person I've told about this because I'm never quite sure how to put it into words without sounding crazy. She suggested it could be the beginnings of an out-of-body experience..I'm not sure if I even believe that's possible. I have experimented with psychedelics in the past..could this be some kind of after effect? Or something medical. Or like my friend suggested, something perhaps spiritual? Has anyone else experienced anything similar? .
I apologize if this is in the wrong forum..I felt as if it was the most appropriate.

How do I describe this to a doctor without sounding crazy? It hasn't happened for at least two years anyway so I don't think there's even a point in going now.

You would describe it like you said here with the light headedness and rattling sensation. It's good to have this checked out if it happens again.

To shorten your description:
You get light headed where you have a sense of detachment (It sounded like deja vu at first) and you sometimes or then get "semi-nauseous".
Then you should describe how often it happens. Also if anything triggers it (stress, exhaustion, etc). One of your examples of this: "When this happens I'm usually in public or at work" which would be stress/anxiety.

The doctor should then have everything he/she needs.
