I'll hopefully move to Lisbon, Portugal, I am tired of living here (born and raised here, and been living here all of my life almost entirely, except for short-term excursions to Paris where I had a band), not that I have something against my fellow countrymen and the country itselfs -- I have, but the grudges I hold are not the main reason -- but I need a completely fresh change of scenery, as I go deeper into the pit of my addiction and losing the essential existential drive.

I like America because we have like fifty different little countries you don't need a passport for. And the gas is cheap. I love moving from state to state and overall crime is pretty low compared to other nations. We think we have it bad (and there is a lot of bad stuff) yet there is a heck of a lot of good too. America's climate diversity alone is incredible.

True dat. I've lived in some of the most disparate regions of this country (just not the cold ones), and it is as different as different countries. And with state laws, the quality/standard of living in states varies as much as well.
