Ambien seems to relieve my anxiety and put me in a better state than the benzos I've tried, Xanax and Klonopin, and it doesn't make me depressed and apathetic like Klonopin does but though Klonopin does relax me, while Xanax is worthless and feels like nothing. But Ambien doesnt last long enough to be useful for the day. It has something special that I haven't found any benzos to have. Are there any other benzos besides the 2 I tried that could be more similar to Ambien for my anxiety?

Its like i wrote this post but the username is not mine, weird. There is nothing, z drugs are special, maybe try zopiclone as it lasts longer. And don't mess up your tolerance because it never completely recovers.

It doesn't make sense. Ambien should be made to last longer and be taken during the day for anxiety since it makes you relaxed, disinhibited and willing to do things and feel alive. Benzos like Klonopin should be made to take at night since while relaxing you it makes you feel lazy, lethargic, apathetic and dead. So easier to fall asleep that way

I agree. Additionally its far less addictive and can be taken daily without issues for months. Its better in ever single way over benzoz except the duration and weird effects for new users.

Yet its not officially labeled or used for anxiety. Strange. I would understand that if it made you drowsy but if you stay awake on it works like a benzo and allows perfect functionality. Not sure why it was never approved for other uses.

Plus its so easy to get, just ask for it and you get a 3 month repeat script, no way you get benzos like that.

only used ambien once recreationally and loved it.
i wonder if it still works to fall asleep once u start enjoying its effects,
because in mind i've always pictured ambien = perfect sleep in time of need

a friend of mine needs like 40mg of ambien to fall asleep,
because he abused these meds so often

Yes it does, it makes whatever you want to do better, you wont want to sleep but if you lay down there and tried it would be very effective. I used to love the flying carpet sensation of lying in bed on ambien, it feels like you are physically weightless and floating and swaying around like being on a magic carpet and you can actually sit there and direct the movements of it mentally and actually feel the physical sensation of gforce based on your mental commands, like dropping down or going upwards would feel so real, very interesting and strange effect.

Damn I never got anything out of Ambien, when I was scripted a few years ago I was like fuck yea hopping for a buzz, but nothing and it didn't effect my sleeping. Meh I tried it wasn't for me I guess.

why not try a stimulant for anxiety during the day and the ambien at night. I've taken focalin, and adderall for adhd and it is, imo, the best day time anxiety medicine in the world. ambien is not prescribed for anxiety because it only has a 4 hour half life, so if your looking for all day relief, ambien is not the right drug. if you take too much ambien, it can really fuck you up, its as if your dreaming while your awake.

ugh. they should really have focalin outside the US. i really want to try this one.

but back to the topic. OP, have you ever heard or tried pregabalin for anxiety relief? it's one of the best anxiolytics i've encountered thus far. alprazolam comes to a close second. it's got a very long on-set, so it's best to dose on an empty stomach. also try to refrain from doing it daily, as tolerance builds up very fast. xanax-xr seems to do a great job as well, so you could alternative between those too. i would avoid using these medications for recreational uses though, if your main intent is to suppress your social anxiety.

Is this a semi-common thing for some people, they get anxiety relief from a stimulant?

Honestly, I've never heard of that, but then I have heard of people taking benzos and becoming hyperactive and tense so I guess there's no reason why there can't be paradoxical reactions to stims, too.
