Hey there,
I'm currently doing alot of research into the effects of cycling to young.
And what is the recommended safe age to begin.
Just wondered how old u guys were when u started and what side affects did u notice when u begun? etc.
I am currently only 18 and am thinking of staring at 20.
I know quite a few who started at 17 and are now 24. Any thoughts?
What is the youngest you would suggest

Cheers guys:)

23-26.

2 reasons for this:

1. You need a long time of hard training under your belt before you should consider juicing because you might as well use up all of your natural potential and plateau out first and you might as well get a serious understanding of diet and exercise before doing steroids. I've been training 3 years without a break and 6 years total and still don't feel like I've mastered everything or hit my maximum natural potential. The human body is capable of SO much without roids its pointless to do them until you must (ie, you are in a career where steroids are a must - very rare) or you simply are not happy with your self image at your maximum natural limit.

2. You still have naturally very high levels of test and your body is still developing. Doing steroids before you are completely finished growing, filling out, and stabilizing hormonally is a very bad idea. I was growing vertically until 21 years old and have been getting wider even in the past years and I'm 26. My test levels are still extremely high (so high that I'm off the chart as far as normal goes). Why spoil that by down regulating your endocrine system?

That's my opinion though.

^good post... nothing to add- thats sound advice. I took some prohormones at 21 after a year of lifting and now wish I'd waited another 2-3 years....

I think it's retarded to use anabolic steroids under the age of 30, unless you have documented low testosterone levels.

I've gotten larger, in the long run than peers who tried cycles and prohormones.

Going from 140 lbs on a 5'6 frame @ 6% bf in 10th grade, to 175 lbs at 8% bf in 11th grade, Then 160 lbs @ 7% bf in 12th grade. I had 16in biceps naturally. It took 3 years total, of bulking and cutting. Lots of hard work. However, the result was more satisfying.

Just supplementing, eating 4500 calories a day, and having a nice lifting regimen changing it once a month.

Like mentioned, going on cycle under 30 years of age is really just stupid. Can you do it safely with results? Of course. However, if you know how to bulk and cut properly using the thousands of supplements out there. You can get results just as effective as those on cycle. ONLY DIFFERENCE is it will take much more time in comparison.

Agree with coolio. You body is primed to grow with no additives. Just dedicate to the gym.
