I hear that heroin, trans and pain killers are taking over Pittsburgh now. Is this mostly coming from Philadelphia now?

If so why does Pittsburgh not have open air drug use like Philadelphia?

Also why is meth not popular in Pittsburgh but really hard to get there from what I read and people view on meth is more taboo in Pittsburgh? Why did meth never become popular in Pittsburgh and hard to get there?

Has anyone gone to Pittsburgh had of late?

Why do lot people not shoot up in public like in Philadelphia there? Just smoke drugs in public like in Philadelphia.
 
I assume you meant tranq not trans.

I have no knowledge but whoever is behind the whole tranq epidemic (not fent) need to be publicly tortured for days until they pass in the town square
 
Pittsburgh is a much smaller city and the police here are known for treating the homeless or seemingly substance dependent folks with much disrespect and brutality. Allegheney county jail is one of the worst in the countries and nobody wants to wind up there, people die there awaiting trial. The conditions are inhumane so I think everyone wants to stay away from ACJ.

That being said, I've seen many nonchalant drug deals happen all over town, but nothing close to a market like Philly has. Population density probably plays a factor, Pittsburgh doesn't even have 1 million people, public transit is unreliable and unhoused folks usually stay in the areas their camps are located. As you may or may not know, it is not an easy city to traverse by foot so when a group finds a spot, they will stay there until local gov't orders the camp to be bulldozed and everyone's belongings taken.

As for meth, I have no clue. It's probably mostly popular amongst the small "PNP" subsection of the gay population but I do not know for sure.

I thought Pittsburgh is mostly cocaine, heroine and pain killers very little if no meth now like before?

I thought weed, cocaine, heroine and pain killers more popular in Pittsburgh not meth?
