West Coast Events General Policies and Guidelines
The New Bluelight does not endorse any of the parties listed in this Event forum. Members who post identifying information about themselves for the purpose of meeting up with other members do so of their own accord, and understand any inherent risks of doing so.
- Under any and all circumstances, the Bluelight Forum Moderators and Site Administrators reserve the absolute right to edit, close or delete any and all posts and/or replies on Bluelight without prior notice, reason, or explanation.
- No Drug Discussion of any sort is allowed in any thread. A violation of this rule will likely land you with a permanent warning.
- Under no circumstances are private parties/meet ups (Any meet-up in a non-public place - i.e. House/Hotel parties) posts allowed. This is for your own benefit and safety.
Thread Topic Format For Events
- Your thread WILL be closed if it does not follow this format.
- The order is not important, as long as all elements are present. Major Cities can be abbreviated in the Topic. Please be sure to add all pertinent information in the body of the message. Price, age, information line, etc. is expected. Basically any information that would be on the flyer should be in the thread.
- Please don’t feel obligated to only post raves, parties, and club events. Concerts, local goings-on, rallies, etcetera. Just be sure to follow the guidelines the same as you would anywhere else.
- One, and only one thread per weekly is allowed. That means one thread per weekly event at club, not a new thread every week.
- Raves: Date - City - Event Name
Club Events: Date - City - Club Name - At least one DJ Spinning
Concerts: Date- City- Venue- At least one band playing
All Other Events: Date - City - Type of Event ( i.e. - Meet-up at Venice Beach; Bonfire @ Planet Hollywood)
General Topic Info and things to know:
- Social Posting is allowed as long as it pertains specifically to the West Events forum. Before posting, ask yourself if this would be better suited in The Lounge.

- Pertaining to inquiries about Clubs in the major West Cities, please search for the "Official Roll Call" threads using the search function. The Roll Call threads are also located at the top of the forum as an announcement. The Official Roll Call Thread )
Roll Call Threads
- AIM/ICQ/MSN Roll calls will be closed. Please refer to this thread for the official AIM/ICQ/MSN/Email Roll call for the forum which can be found
- All roll call threads for the west coast have been started. They are located here: .The Official Roll Call Thread
- If you plan on posting a review thread for an event, Begin your topic with Reviews or Aftermath, then the name of the party.
- DRAMA. Personal attacks, drama, and badmouthing a person/event will NOT be tolerated, and WILL be removed from the boards. It will also result in a permanent warning from a moderator. Please keep the drama to yourselves.
- Double posts will be deleted. The second thread will be closed, and the original will be left open.
- From time to time the closed threads will be deleted, just to keep the forum looking clean.
- Why Meta-posting is not allowed: Meta-posting is not allowed in the Events - USA:WEST forum for one really big reason. Meta-posts that contain suggestions/descriptions/posts/reply's about numerous events not only become confusing, in terms of trying to figure out which reply refers to which event, but it also detracts valuable information from posts dealing specifically with one specific event. Only moderators are allowed to open Meta-posts. (see - "moderator discretion clause").
- Phone Numbers: Common sense here. Don't post your phone number on the board. With 40000+ registered users, you never know who will exploit your phone number. On certain special occasions (i.e. at the moderators discretion), phone numbers will be allowed to be left on the board for a period of no more than 24, before it gets edited out. This does not mean all #'s will get this special treatment. As a side note, if you guys want to exchange phone numbers, please do so privately via email. We have roll call threads set up for such purposes if you want to contact and familiarize yourselves some more with the fellow bluelighters in your area.
