Tonight on Dateline they did a special on a 'rave' which was actually just a couple people together, basically talking about the evils of Ecstacy and NO2. BUT, in the same segment, talking about chemical manufacturing, and showed video clips of [A drug-chemistry website], I forget which, and talked about chemical supply houses, and showed people getting chemical precursors to Ecstacy...so theres a good chance that this kind of thing (while already closely watched) could become even more so...damn...

I assume it was deluged with hits.
 
They had nearly 600 new members register over the period of a few hours, so many hits the site was in-acessible... all these newbies were deleted, and because most came from AOL, they are thinking about banning AOL all-together... "most of our users are smart enough to use a real ISP" ...
As always, we don't allow discussion of said website as I was asked we not allow the URL nor any information that could lead anyone there as most of our users degrade the quality of posts over there...
As for the show - I'm sorry, those kids need to get raped 6 ways to Sunday as they spend the rest of their natural life in prison - you DO NOT VIDEO TAPE YOURSELF BUYING GLASSWARE, PRECURSORS, THEN MAKING DOPE! Talk about a slam-dunk for the prosecution... oh yeah, a detailed journal and bags full of MDMA IN YOUR LAB are not too smart...
Interesting to see many peoples theory of SciAlli being ran by Strike, though I always though he was a she... while I feel bad for his arrest, I gotta also smack him with a big sack of "DUH!" .. if you're out on parole for making MDMA, you don't RUN A CHEMICAL SUPPLY HOUSE and sell precursors, if you do, then DON'T ADVERTISE YOURSELF IN A DRUG MANUAL! Oh well... he is looking at 35 years if not more ...
I thought the special was one of Datelines better pieces - it wasn't as filled with mindless propaganda as it could have been.. they showed the video the kids made, explained what they were doing, and thats about it... yeah, the usual comments from DEA spokes-person about how "bad" drugs are, but they didn't really mis-represent as much as they could have...
Overall it was worth watching if you are fimilar with the players - if you have not been into drug chemistry, it probably wouldn't be as interesting..

i watched the little program,
i was STUNNED when they videotaped the actual purchase of E or chemicals to make E..they fucking videotaped it, WWWHHHYYY????what was the reasoning behind it??i cant believe the man they bought it from let them film him!!man, i guess X really does fuck your head up..
also, the guy who ran that website struck me as stupid as all hell..he didnt seem to very cautious about covering his tracks too well, and he seemed very either nervous or just FAGGOTY acting..
 
He is actually pretty fuckin' bright. And it's a piss off that SA went down, but his true legacy WILL remain. The admins over there are very dedicated. And yea I was there when the barrages of candy ravers stormed the gates. MAYHEM! but they had their shit covered.

aw, i woulda liked to see that.
dateline's got another episode about "street drugs" coming up. it's pure propaganda. their site has a cute Flash tour of 7 drugs and their "damaging effects on the body". you get to see the parts of the body that are supposedly damaged light up on a silhouette of a person.
they've basically just added up all the conceivable risks for each drug, including a large number that are strictly theoretical. this is necessary, because they have to invent serious, long-term side effects for LSD (which apparently damages the heart, because it increases heart rate) and marijuana.
the government says these are bad, so we will invent reasons why they are bad; nice.
i've never bought glassware. i'm not sure how difficult it is. and i could even use it for legitimate purposes... now, i've seen the list of banned glassware under Texas law, and i think it's kind of funny. erlenmeyer flasks. and the foul, unamerican three-necked round-bottom flask! not to mention the Büchner drug synthesis funnel.
ehh. the media. one of my professors has told us about how the media have approached him twice in the last two months about chemical weapons; once about how easy it is to make nerve gas and once about any potential chemical weapons that haven't been used yet. yeah - right. wacked. i'm sure the same thing happens about drugs.
 
yea, unfortunately alot of these 'in depth' reports are a) backed by political or other agendas b) executed by inept 'investigators' the're inept because CBS/NBC etc.. want to give its audience the same familiar faces, week after week, so they assign the same numbskulls out to do fieldwork the'ye unqualified for. America loves familiarity. enter prepackaged television shows, Coca-Cola and McDonald's.

It was offline for a few months which may explain why you couldn't find it. go look again. It's easier to find than. (insert funny analogy - tired...jacked)
 
the supplier that you're mentioning can be found on a google search (if it's the one i'm imagining) type in 'poisonous non-consumables' or something. they don't have what SA had though.

I doubt most people in 'Other Drugs' would. It's some of the other sections like Social that 'scare' me.
 
You make some good points Roches. If you really put your mind to it, you could take a PET scan of someone's brain before, during, and after SEX, and the changes taking places could be propagandized to equate it with "brain damage".

consensus seems to be that he was unaware that they knew his identity. that and the jail time he has to look forward to might make me nervous, edgy, or possibly even faggoty acting!
 
Man, I can't believe that guy selling them the glassware and 11 GALLONS OF SAFROLE let them VIDEOTAPE the entire transaction. What kind of idiot was he? If he isn't in jail currently, he probably saw himself on TV last night and said "uhh...FUCK!"
Also, is it just me or does 2 grand seem like a SUPER bargain for what they got from him? He must have stolen it....
Smart kids, videotaping the entire process of their manufacture of large quantities of MDMA....I liked the part where they wrote down in their lab book "we are so much cooler than everybody else" or something to that extent :P
 
The guy they bought everything from was Spitball, he is in jail but has been for over a year.. yeah, they got some fucking pimp coils, massive flasks and some other shit for a damn good deal... if I remember correctly, he got everything from labx.com (an auction site for glassware and lab stuff) .. it was also 11 liters for safrole, not gallons...
