Congrats, guys! Oxide, this has to be among the quickest double-stickings in BL history. You've been stellar in BDD and now OD is quite lucky to have you!

Petey, I've always really admired your posts throughout several forums and they've always stood out due to their quality - it looks like OD is going to be in some great hands :)
 
Thanks for the warm welcome everyone, and for the kind words Cane. As far as pleasant surprises go, this takes the metaphorical biscuit. I can't wait to get stuck in to my 'evil overlord' duties ;)
 
Hello new moderators.

If I would give some advice, it would be to keep in mind that people wil probably take your advice more seriously now.

Use that to your advantage! Use it to help people and give uplifting advice. They will most likely listen, and see you two as experts with your new status. On the same token, people will follow bad advice too.

You guys are in a position to greatly change lives, for good or ill. If I were one of you two, I would use wisdom and discretion. :)

Oxide, fantastic news. I look forward to BDD-OD summits where we discuss the finer points of what belongs in which forum as well as whose social is best :D

^ more inter-forum dialogue and coordination is something we worked on a lot in the past and has fallen off quite a bit with the degree of recent staff turnover. It would be great to see this revisited because it has clear benefit to both forums :)
 
I agree. The best way for the site to move forward is for forums to adopt practices that others have used and found successful.
 
Props to both, have contributed great advice from what I've seen from my brief time here.

I agree with adopting other users and forums practises.

Everyone should definately swim.

People might pee in the pool, but at least its healthy for you.
