Opioids weird side effects from oxy's?

okay, let me give you the full story. i recently started experimenting with oxycodone. my first time doing it was december 30th and i took two 10/325 percocets and felt pretty good. the day after i took one 40 mg oxy and felt fucked up. when i was coming down i took two of the same percs and realized i wasnt really feeling it so i decided my tolerance already went up so i took another one.

on january 4th i took an oxy 40 and realized i wasnt feeling shit, so i took half of another one. my reasoning for this is because i was looking on here a couple days before this day and read about some kid that took a 40 and wanted to take another one but someone responded saying he would have died. so i only took half and i really don't know if i was feeling it. this is because as soon as i took the half, it was upsetting my stomach.

anyway, to the weird side effects. about an hour or so after taking the half i felt extremely tired and decided to go to bed. now, i thought i was so tired i would pass out as soon as i closed my eyes, but the opposite happened. i was able to close my eyes and keep them closed, but i couldnt fall asleep. it took me about an hour or two to get to bed but i'm pretty sure what was going on in my mind is what kept me up.

everytime i would close my eyes, i would get closed eye hallucinations or something. it was very, very odd. i would see random people's faces, people i've never even seen. i would see the most random shit, like a dog or a tree or something just totally random. i was actually quite amused by it but it was somewhat freaking me out. after a while of that, i actually started hearing noises in my head. and the best way to describe how these images came, it looked like they materialized right in front of me, would move a little like slide to the left, right, up, or down and than would slowly dissappear and than another random thing would show up.

the next day i got these weird feelings in my head/body, and they lasted throughout the whole day and part of the next day. the best way i can describe it is that it felt like my brain or something was draining down the back of my head. now, it literally didnt feel like that, but i got these intense rushes that felt it was depressing my brain. not depressing as in mood, but like making me feel extremely dumb. and whenever i got these feelings it felt somewhat that i was going to pass out. i would get these frequently during the day.

could somebody please explain this to me? has this happened to anybody else? is this a side effect from oxycontin?

This same shit happened to me the first times I took opiates. They went away after about 10-15 uses, but they were there. I would hallucinate things as if I were dreaming, but I was awake (not wide awake though). I dont exactly recall what I saw, it was 5+ years ago but I do remember repeatedly seeing this red flower open up in front of me in the center of my field of vision. It freaked me out, and I haven't heard of anyone else hallucinating off opiates either but it went away pretty quickly.

Sounds like you had a mild OD take it easy with the oxy it's not to be played around with. And the nausea is normal on opiates take some benadryl next time it'll help that but not too much it'll potentiate the oxy.

a mild OD?! what the fuck?!

that's what i was worried about the whole entire damn time too. i have a bad anxiety problem and as soon as i took the half of the oxy, i wanted to make myself puke because i thought that it would be too much and i was going to die.

would the benadryl also help with that annoying ass itch that's associated with it?

No rath..

It sounds like he popped his nod cherry.

Congratulations, you had your first nod. I think..

I don't see things but some people do.
Was it like impossible to keep your eyes open? Did it feel like you were in a warm blanket and nothing mattered? Like you could sit there with your eyes closed forever and it would be fine.

That's nodding out. I was just doing it about an hour ago, I ate something and I can keep my eyes open now. That's usually my trick with pharms when I take them orally. If I'm nodding and I need to do something or just want to, I eat something. Usually high in sugar. For example I just ate a bowl of Ambrosia with mandarin oranges, pineapples, marshmallows and maraschino cherries. Pretty dank.

Anyway, you should have liked it. It's not a weird side effect from oxy's, it's THEE side effect from opiates.

I don't know about the brain shit though..

But the first thing sounds like a nod.

Maybe you could explain it more.

Peace buddy congrats lol

I can't say I agree you had an OD experience. But 60mgs of Oxy after only experimenting with 20 the day before? Educate yourself before you start taking such a serious substance. For your own safety.

I don't mean to sound harsh but it sounds like you know absolutely nothing about the drugs your using, and thats never a good/safe plan.

beta, i didnt do 20 the day before. the first time i started i did 20, than the day after i did 40 and when i came down off the 40 i took 30. my tolerance went up obviously if i didnt feel anything from taking a 40.

and as for the not knowing anything about these drugs, it's very much true. before i was going to pop the half of the oxy i wanted to come on here to ask but my friend's dad was drunk and was in a pissed off mood and wouldnt let me go on the computer.

i'm agreeing with that it was that i popped my nodding cherry, because normally when i close my eyes, i have to force them shut. but this time, i could keep them closed with ease.

My bad. He still needs to be careful with oxy going from 20mg to 60mg in a day that's asking for it..

I DIDNT GO FROM 20 TO 60!!!!!! WHY'S EVERYONE THINK THAT?! ARE YOU ALL READING THE POST WRONG?!

no offense rath, this isn't just you, and i'm not trying to be a dick. it's just everyone is thinking that.

technically, if you want to go by how much i took in one day, i went from 20 to 70 to 60.

the 70mg day i took a 40mg oxy at like 2 o'clock pm and took the percs at midnight so maybe that doesnt really count. but maybe my tolerance lowered due to the 4 day break i had from it.

That's worse. :| Learn your doses oxycodone isn't a drug to be fucked around with. We're just trying to keep you from oding.

yes, it was impossible to keep them open, i remember watching my friend be on the computer and all of a sudden feeling very very very very sleepy, it was hard as hell to keep my eyes open. as for the warm blanket, idk, hah, i was covered up and the nothing mattered thing, not really because i was freaking out because i have anxiety and a huge fear of overdosing. but isn't feeling perfect what's supposed to happen from oxycodone? because that's how i feel everytime i take it.

yes, i understand that. i'm just trying to give you the full details and the truth so you can better understand.

and when you say that's worse, are you talking about the 4 day break?

Going from 20mg to 70mg is a big leap. You don't need no more than 30-40mg. Even with a break 70mg is way too much.

LOL, soundded like you were nodding and high as fuck but didnt know what to feel...

at first it sounded like you got some fake oxy cuz you didnt mention any euphoria or body high. then it just seemed like you had no idea what opiates feel like but nodded out hard.

research research and more research dude!!!!!!!! that kinda shit will get you killed one day..
jeez, jumping from 20 - 70. you should be glad they'r extended release, otherwise youd prolly be dead by now(prolly not that bad but you would have definetly been close to ODing).

okay, i definately will. thank you very much for the information.

the only reason i took the half is because i wasnt feeling it.
