Weed that tastes like cat piss

Hi people, I don't post here often since I smoke so rarely these days. But this weed just got my curiosity up.

So, ok, yesterday I bought some weed from a guy I know. It smells and tastes like cat piss. Really bitter when you smoke it, but it is quite strong, and nails me to the couch for many hours when smoked even in small amounts.

So I just wanna know, what would cause weed to smell / taste like cat piss?
 
I think what makes the weed smell is the terpenes, which are in the oils and resins.

"The Terpenes are a part of the oily substance you collect as trichomes and oxidize to hashish. They constitute about 10% of the content of glandular trichomes. They makeup most of the essential oils secreted. It is beleived that they are biogenetic precursors to cannabinoids, in other words, essential to the bioconversion."

from what I understand different concentrations of different terpenes can have an effect on flavour, smell and high.

But I dont think I could identify which terpenes in particular smelllike cat pee

Well, there is a strain called Cat Piss, perhaps you have it.

it smells like, well, cat piss and usually terribly bad too.

Maybe it's really good weed, cut with catnip that the cat pissed on?

After a few more smoking sessions I can say this weed is really potent. A 0,5 gram bag has lasted for 3 days and counting...
 
check out "cat piss super silver haze" or "cat piss ssh" on google i've read about it on growing websites before its a phenotype of super silver haze by shanti of mr nice seeds. Be nice to either get the clone or get lucky growing out a pack of expensive but quality mr nice seeds.

I've had it once before as well. I like the smell :D

if it nails you to the couch in small amounts I wouldnt have though it is "catpiss" as (as someone pointed out), I think it's a sativa dom strain... and that wouldn't give you couchlock in small amounts...

maybe it's rotting weed? That smells of ammonia quite heavily...although I have no idea if catpiss smells like ammonia so fuck it...

I don't know just playing devil's advocate.
