weed smoke stinks to non-smokers?

Hey guys!

ive noticed sth recently. so i was a pothead smokin weed daily for 5 years. i really enjoyed the smell of smoke, it was so sweet :) just lovely.

I have however stopped smoking weed. im haven't smoked in 40 or so days. and now whenever my friends smoke spliffs near me, i feel that the smoke stinks :! it seems to be of a sourish smell and generally unpleasant.

WTF?

does smoking weed alters your sense of smell so much?

now i dont wonder that one girl i know who hasn't smoked ever, says that weed stinks as hell =D
 
yea, most people who cant associate the smell t the good feeling just find it to be unpleasant
 
it smells, but i KNOW that it at least must smell better than cigarette smoke. that shit will make EVERYTHING reek for days.
 
sometimes the smoke smells like im sitting in the middle of a forest, other times it just smells so sweet. i know it smells sweet to nonsmokers because my parents comment on how smokey sweet my room smells
 
My in-laws let me smoke in my hubby's room and in the basement of their house, which is sweet. But this weekend they went away and we had the house to ourselves. I had a friend over and we were toking huge bong rips in the living room. The next day I opened the windows and sprayed a little Febreze and you couldn't smell shit.

Can you say the same thing about cigarettes? ;)
 
absolutely not. and after i read that story about ciggs leaving heavy metal and radiation deposits in fabrics, fuck smokin them in the house.
 
Please guys, I don't need to hear how gross smoking is, i feel so ashamed. After this pack... im quitting!!

tobacco smoke (cigs and cigars) linger for days... weed on the other hand seems not to linger for more than 5-7 hours depending on when you stop smoking and how much you smoked. you especially will find that anything smoked out of a bong/bubbler/hookah will not linger very long at all. its because it is more of a vapor than just thick smoke. so do not try and smoke cigs in the house, your in-laws will definitely notice.

actually the smell of cig smoke made me cut down dramatically.


when i would smell weed when i was a non smoker it smelled so good cause i was used to smelling tobacco all the time. now when i smell weed i get excited and happy lol
 
I think it depends on the type of weed...

Some smells good, others smell not so good. But its definitely not as potent as tobacco smoke.

but that shit will stick to your clothes for DAYSSSSS if you just leave them in the basket/hamper after a nice hotboxpni.spoololife.nfosession.
 
When i started to smoke (cigars) i hated the smell in every pack almost at the finish of the pack I'd leave 2,3 cigars in the street
about weed even when i was i small child i always love'd the smell :p
 
Before I ever smoked I found the smell of unburnt weed to be desirable, like camping in the forest or like a Christmas tree. I did not mind the smell of burnt weed, I did not go crazy for it like i do now but I did not find it disagreeable unless it was weed that smells like cat urine when burnt. I did find blunts to smell pretty bad though, and still do not like the smell even though I now smoke.
 
shit, i cant even smell burnt weed without immediately wanting to spark up a joint. the smell is heavenly.

I always found weed to taste great; a herbal, pepper, spice taste to it, that really complimented the pizza I would eat after a session. Then when we smoked out one of my friends for the first time the first thing he says after he takes a hit was that it tastes gross. We all looked at him like he was crazy.
