I had an EPIC sleep last night form what i can only attribute to l theanine. Im usually the toss and turn guy who takes like 2-3 hours to finally drop off thinking about all the negative thinks that could POSSIBLY happen in my life. Had around 200mgs and it felt like a full blown benzo- altho i hate benzoes and their overhang the sleepiness and relaxation is ok, but with the theanine i got that prolonged relaxation effect while waking up as sharp as an arrow this morn!
Thing is Im wondering why it was so much more potent last night than usual because ive had varying doses up to 1gram but not felt that effect before. Its actually kept me awake on quite a few occasions when i tried to get to sleep.
This time it felt way more 'gabaergic'.
Im wondering if its because I made a homemade stew with loads of veges and ate that all day through the day yesterday so maybe the vitamins in it helped boost the theanine up?
This baby lasted a real nice long time too. I was conked out from around 12.30am right through to 11 this morn except for getting up to piss and went right back to sleep after getting back to bed- dropping back off is usually the bane of my life. I could still feel the distinct sleepytime at like 9 and ten and it was all good REM I remember alot of my dreams or at least i did a few mins ago

So Im really interested in being able to replicate this- suggestions on how to boost the theanine up (in natural ways of course or it defeats the object) would be welcome on how to do so.
Edit: just remembered that I also cleaned my sheets and floor yesterday and since I have a bad dust mite allergy whcih screws up my sleep as well so that potentially salts the test so gonna have to try and replicate again soon taking that parameter into account.
