how was it?
Scattered. Chaotic. Agonizing. Quite stressful.
And spiritually uneventful.
...and people say LSD is harmful...I got wounded in Helmand province, Afghanistan during an operation, and was in the 'danger close' radius as some fast movers dropped 8 x 2000lbs of high explosive pwnage.
On topic, I don't think there is any meaning behind visions and spiritual experiences people have while injured/sick. I think it's just biological response to use a computer term, unhandled exception condition like hypoxia or toxins from infection, etc causing aberrant operation of the brain. (like how a car won't work right if there is water in the gas, or if I toss a handful of sand in the oil.)
LSD does indeed make pacifists, one of the many reasons I dislike the drug.
But that's OT.
Painful, stressful, loud, bright, hot, and as above no 'spiritual' gobbledygook to speak of.

The only subjective, internal 'profound' experience resulting was that my medical officer gave me enormous quantities of I.V. opioids, promethazine and midazolam.
:D
I was taking the piss, actuallyI'm still in. I'm an officer. Despite popular belief amongst college kids and hippies, the armed forces is quite senseful/rational place. We don't stay alive, win, or build rockets, satellites and submarines with nonsense and irrational thought processes.

so as I understand it,friendly jets dropped their bombs too close to you? did you get hit by shrapnel? I cant image, but it must been really loud
Just the "you seem so sensible" bit.Which time?
what happened? I would like to hear in witch way your life was in danger,to hear this in better detail, please

As for pacifism, if I try to rape your friend, will you not resort to violence to stop me? Will you look down on someone who does?
Necessary because at some level, war and defense drive so much development in engineering, technology, and science. As well as organization of groups into nations.
Correct, but the lack of an inherent meaning does not mean that experience isn't inherently meaningful.
