VCU?s Institute of Drug and Alcohol Studies (located in Richmond, Virginia) is currently recruiting 21-70 year olds who would like to stop or reduce their drinking to participate in a 16-week study. The study involves:

- A brief phone interview to see if you qualify
- A screening visit that will involve a series of interviews, blood samples, urine screening, physical exam (about 3 hours of your time)
- Baseline visit where you will receive your study medication (which may be an active drug or a placebo), instructions on taking the medication, and additional baseline testing
- Treatment phase lasts 16-weeks, and you will come into the clinic 8 times for brief counseling, questionnaires and more medication (about 40 minutes per visit). You will be asked to call daily into an interactive voice response system
- Follow up visit to complete questionnaires and draw blood samples.
