This is a hilariously awkward update to Mr. Show. It's sort of like Arrested Development's comeback on Netflix in that the character of the show is highly recursive and self-aware, like a return to form on steroids. Those familiar with Abso Lutly Production's other shows or Comedy Bang Bang! on IFC will be in familiar territory (Scott Aukerman is involved). It's quality material in any case, and retains the same spirit as the old run. As the intro segment to the first episode states: "I'm not joking and this ain't no show Mr."
