Stimulants Vyvanse Tolerance?

Some random guy takes vyvanse for school related purposes about once to twice a week for the past 2 months. He gets 40mg's and doesn't take more than 40-50mg's at a time. He knows all about vyvanse and that its a prodrug and must be metabolized by the liver before affects are noticeable, so the random guy takes it in the morning on an empty stomach and usually notices effects about 1hr - 1hr 15 minutes. The effects are mild euphoria, concentration, mild teeth clenching, etc. The random guy has taken a week break from the amphetamine due to prior advice. The random guy took 50mg's yesterday around 5am and went back to bed and woke up around 6am. The guy notices that he felt different and not speedy like normally, so he waited 30 minutes later and had all the symptoms of amphetamines but euphoria. The random guy wants to know is his tolerance too high? Should he take a longer break next time? He read that magnesium helps with tolerance and has been taking that daily but thats it. The random guy would like to know your opinion!

He also took the generic Zyrtec with the vyvanse that morning as well could that be a possible explanation?

Thank You

what the fuck? are you stalking this random guy? that's so fuckin' creepy how you know what he's doing and when he's going to bed n shit....

I heard DXM cuts tolerance to some drugs. And yes no euphoria is a symptom of tolerance. Take a longer break and stop stalking that random guy what the fuck man.

well this random guy should know that zyrtec is a non-drowsy antihistamine meaning it wouldn't take away from the energizing effects of vyvanse however I take adderall 15mg IR and do notice a tolerance build up over time but if I stop for a week tolerance goes back down but I don't use it to often so using it a lot would result in a longer time for your tolerance to go back down

Tolerance to the pushy, rushy, euphoric effects of amphetamine (prodrug or not) develop really rapidly and generally don't go away. You just have to work with it.. learn to appreciate the "plain stimulant" effects of amphetamine and you'll find that your natural euphoria at accomplishing tasks should still be there.

You can also do things like take the drug in new settings, but that only works for a little bit.

exactly my favorite part is not the euphoria but simply being wide awake and thinking at incredible speeds
