If you liked the first one you will love this game. They took a good game design and made it an epic adventure.
It's a third person survivor/horror/shooter with rpg like weapons and armor leveling. Great looking visuals and a nice cinematic feel to it at times. I guess it tries to be scary/creepy but, to me is just jumpy/gory.
There is a story to it but, tbh I'm too busy severing limbs from the creatures (who's name escapes me) with a variety of cool guns. This game is just a lot of fun complete with old school type boss battles. An insanely easy to use glowing blue line that shows you exactly where to go at the push of a button makes certain that you won't be walking in circles wondering wtf to do next. Whether you played the last one or not I'd highly recommend this game.
