BOOM SHAKA LAKA

I used to play this game HEAPS. Best basketball game ever. Screw realism. Who remembers turbo mode? The awesome dunks you could do. Pushing other players over =D

"you're on FIRE!"

this shit was the bomb, but paying per quarter game (i think it was) was shite, and the A.I./difficulty setting was infuriating.

"monster jam...he's on fire!"

that fire flip dunk was fucking bad ass...

C'mon I know more S&Gers played this...

Four player mode at the arcade. My brother kept pushing me over so I kicked him in the shins in real life. He still won, bastard.

Only allowing shots outside the three point line, or dunks only.

Playing as Bill Clinton (can't remember which edition).

"From doooooowntooooown!"

This is still my favourite sports game to date :) Turn off computer assist and two player mode actually comes down to skill. I thought it was Al Gore, not Bill Clinton? Or was it both?

It was Bill Clinton...

Sweet game and I loved how half court shots at the very end of the quarter were makeable....It made for some wild finishes and lots of smack talk

I forget wha year it was but I used to always use the Sonics with Shawn Kemp and Detlif Schrimpf

poll added.

i loved carving up the court as scottie pippen in his awesome red shoes

according to wiki
Console versions were well known for featuring tons of easter eggs; the home versions of Jam T.E. even allowed the player to use then-President Bill Clinton, then-First Lady Hillary Clinton, or then-Vice President Al Gore (not to mention Atari's Vice President of Software Development Leonard Tramiel on the Atari Jaguar version).

Damn this game owned. I wish they'd make more ridiculous sports games like these.

Reminds me of NFL Blitz.
