Anyone else have LittleBigPlanet?
I put off getting this game for awhile because I just couldn't imagine how it would be that fun. It's fucking awesome though.
You really have to think of this game as multiple games in one. The "story" made is great coop fun with friends or online and the "key unlock" side games you can find in the story maps are pretty fun for competitive gaming.
The best part is easily the custom maps though that others have made. There are SOOO many different types of maps. I've even played Lightsaber Duels where you each get a jetpack and pick up a saber trying to hit the other person with it and Tetris. Literally the complete Tetris game where you fly around with your sackboy pushing and pulling the pieces to make rows.
I've made 2 custom maps that I would actually consider complete. One is a race map focused on destructible terrain that kills anyone who is more than a second or two behind you. For example there is a part with multiple tunnels going into the ground and the terrain is all sliced apart like broken rock but it's attached to a "destructible" backboard with a proximity switch at the end so whoever gets out first makes the whole thing fall apart on anyone else in the tunnels. There is also an "ice bridge" that is several broken pieces barely holding onto each other with chains attached to a couple pieces. Whoever makes it across first triggers the chains to rip the pieces out which makes the whole bridge fall down. It even has a "pinball" machine using springs/pistons/elastic with flippers at the bottom that knock you back into it.
The other map is a series of the usual platformer type challenges you'd face like swinging ropes and elevators and such. However, the main focus is a gigantic beam hanging from two chains way up in the sky that are controlled by pistons. You can control forward/back and up/down and have to position the beam between two skyscrapers to get across. I even had to use the "camera" control for a up/side view to get the entire thing in view at once.
I'm tempted to get a PS3 Eye webcam thing just for making custom stickers so I can have huge nugs in my levels and such.
Anyone else make any levels for LittleBigPlanet?
