video game: Day of Defeat Source (PC)

So I recently downloaded "Day of Defeat Source" from steam and love it. The graphics are pretty sharp and the game play is down right savage on certain servers. Anyhow I cant seem to find any strategy guides for this game so do any expierenced players have any tips or advice?

This game is by far my favorite first person shooter. I don't know of any strategy guides but i can tell you that in my experience, Axis weapons are better with the exception of the sniper rifle. In my opinion the best map by far is Avalanche, in fact lately it is all i play. There are a shit load of 24/7 Avalanche servers and I could name a few that are great if your interested.

Haven't played in ages but Kar 98 on Avalanche ever time :D might have to dig it out and have a go.

well so far my favorite class has got to be the machine gunner(Axis or Allies).... If you set yourself up in a good spot you can get a shit load of kills. I do feel that some people might be cheating a bit considering certain snipers can just pop up out of knowwhere and get you with a head shot in like 1 second flat...

there are some cheaters mad, but some of the snipers are actually that good. either way it gets ridiculously annoying when you get lit up the second you are in the open by some sniper across the map.

i fucking love DOD:S. very simple, but perfectly balanced. a shooter's shooter on a good map there will be no glitching or BS and everything runs fast and slick. the field maps are the best imo like "bleak hill" where you can spread out and be strategic. look for servers by long time clans like SuperSports and GoochAssassins where they run a mix of the stock maps and custom maps. some of the customs are genius.
