Atm i have 6 days until my last valium pill and my taper is done. Im a chronic pain patient and my doc gave 200 mg Tridural (Tramadol hcl) extended release pills. I know tramadol can cause seizures especially at 400mgs or more at one dose. Heres my questions.
1. If my taper is done 2/6/13 is it safe to start taking my tramadol 200 mgs ER once per day as precribed? or should i wait some time so i dont seize. if i should wait. How much time should i wait. Im stable at 15 mgs of valium and dropping 5 mgs every 3 days and feeling pretty good even though im going through benzo w/d. I was only on benzos for 4.5 months this time at a max dose of 40 mgs of valium per day.
2. If the extended 200mg pill were crushed. Is that like taking 200 mgs of instant release?? or does the 200 mg pill release 200mgs of the drug every so often over the 24 hours ?? like what i mean is crushing a 200mg ER pill like taking 1000mgs of instant release or something stupid like that?? i have zero opiate tolerance. 5mgs of oxy gets me pretty fucking high and im not trying to get high anymore im trying to control my pain. I just dont wanna OD.
Thanks in advance for the info.
