Ursodeoxycholic acid

Any of you guys out there have liver issues ? My ALT / AST values were much higher than I even would like to admit. Granted my ALT was back at 52 when I was off orals - I'm really trying to find every way possible to keep my liver in check. So... UDCA anyone ? intrahepatic cholestasis is not something I feel like fucking around with....

I've heard of many people using TUDCA, which is Tauroursdeoxycholic Acid, with success and I believe that Stanford is also using it to treat some Liver diseases

However, I'll stick with NAC/ALA until more information and studies come out.

Hmm - yeah right now I stick with normal milk thistle extract , NAC/ALA , liv52 year round everyday.

Just trying to make sure I don't end up with a bunk liver - I can't exactly buy another one - I got a bad (well probably with a stubborn fuck like me a good) scare last bloodwork as mentioned.

I don't have chronic liver issues but I use prescription ursodiol with ever oral I take because I can obtain it easily. It doesn't seem to change my end of cycle ALT/AST values (it is always fucked up with or without the udca) but that alone usually doesn't mean much. I believe bilirubin is also elevated along with ALT during cholestatis.
I don't think ursodiol lowers serum concentration of the steroid. Milk thistle may however.
As for using ursodiol for this purpose studies have been done and it is way better than taking NAC/ALA or the other "dietary supplements" for preventing liver damage from oral AAS. From a simple pubmed search:

Also, Tylers liver detox a try...works for me as well
milk thistle, NAC, Liv52 and the others, no effect on blood work, and I'm a blood work regular.
I take ursodiol during cycle and or silibunim.
then tylers post cycle.

Lots of old schoolers loved Tylers... never come across it myslef but perhaps I'll obtain some next time something hepatoxic is involved.
