so like

self-aware suicidal idealation is a net positive, no?

like

"if i died more than one person would probably be pretty upset"

pretty selfless imo

anyway

Still Here.

...
so like state based memory is totally a real thing

and you find yourself remembering a dark path from not too long ago
and you follow the trail
in the hope that you come out unscathed

or at least
this time
with less bloodstains on the floor

and you follow the trail
in the hope that you come out unscathed

does it ever work? has it ever worked? i guess there's a hopeful theory or thought that it could, or might.

but does it really?

and then does that failure not just confirm the bad, and escalate the negative. and accelerate the car towards the cliff?

i dunno.

i think probably.

because isn't it really just about re-executing the same algorithm - the same habit - and hoping, without any updates to the software or program, that somehow - in some mystical, magical, unfathomable way - the outcome's miraculously going to end up different, this time?

syntax error

I think the hope was that this iteration had fewer bugs.

Or that I at least remembered to not trip on the same roots on the path

my version control is shoddy

i guess if you've upgraded the underlying OS over the years in some substantial ways, repeating the same code could turn out better.

still seems like a big risk.

but the things we do when we're kidding ourselves hey?

what's the point of life if not to bury a spark of un-logical hope down in there somewhere and keep it going :)
