I've been searching for opinions or facts on if this phenomena is real I watched a documentary called the hundredth monkey effect where some Japanese scientist studied monkeys eating habits where some young monkeys learned that if they wash the potatoes they find in the sand off before eating them they are much tastier without the sand on them they showed the rest of there group and eventually they all would do this to there potatoes by instinct once a certain amour of the group had been taught (roughly the "hundredth monkey" the scientist then noticed monkeys of the same species on a different island where these monkeys could not have possibly traveled to naturally started showing the same ability to clean there potatoes . I feel we have this same trait but it is only a feeling please tell me your objective opinion

Maybe what I meant is global consciousness my question is this do humans as a species possess a unconscious psychic ability to inherit knowledge from the lessons of others once there is a greater percentage that know. And would they come to mind as learned or instinct? I hope I am making sense:)

I think that we are connected in ways that we don't get, right on the surface of what we usually perceive.
I think a universal consciousness is possible, as a way to describe things. I've certainly felt that it is conscious beyond me/that my consciousness is "nothing", to that that I came from. Maybe there are precursors (precursor elements to consciousness and life, and everything, in the process) to us, all around- what gives way to our consciousness.
This may be closer to Jung's collective unconscious, what I am thinking about. Unconscious is still "conscious" in a processing sense, in a sense that there is some sense within it. It's just not perceived normally.
I guess I'm not sure what to say about it, but I can see why you are interested/ask the question. I do think something goes on, that nobody has quite been able to fully point to.
My interpretation may be flawed, but I have seen how humans, as "conscious" as we are, on levels, act so very unaware of certain processes that we perform. This goes along with the "collective unconsciousness", and synchronicity, in some ways.

monkey see monkey do

of course, but the op is referring to instances where a critical mass of knowledge seems to inexplicably spread to those with no exposure to it. i'm not familiar with the monkey study, but i recall something similar in bees.

Yes collective unconsciousness is exactly what I mean because the behaviors or skills seen to come from no personal experience but are done with much conviction as if it was your career all your life but with no memory of that life and
it just seems to flow like your in the zone or the zone of knowledge most of the time this would happen with me at least I would think I got lucky or someone would just be oh gumbie you are/we're just stoned but mainly I feel we're unaware plus it's unnoticeable to us it's like never learning how to say your abc's but singing the the words "next time won't you sing with me" at the end of the alfabet song without asking yourself how you new to pronounce the letters the Knowledge was just there. But you could not teach others to do the same thing without personally experiencing how to learn it I dunno man just blabbing probably please tell me how and why you think im right or wrong:)

gumbie, what you're referring to is the now-modern theory of morphic resonance, which Rupert Sheldrake expands upon in great detail. However, he was not the first to notice this phenomenon. Scientists from the 1850's onward have made the same observation. Unfortunately, because it contradicts material reductionism, it is not widely accepted. However, there have been notable experiments to prove it plausible.

When any individual in the species learns an ability for the first time, each subsequent time that a member of that species attempts the same learning it will be accomplished sightly faster, even if the next individual is in complete isolation from the previous. Studies on rats have shown this. The same is true of the formation of new compounds, especially crystaline compounds. Once the initial compound is brought into existence for the first time, subsequent duplication is easier, even if the process for doing so remains unaltered. The theory for all of these phenomena is that there is a resonant field that provides an information link between each individual.

Another experiment shows that all animals studied, including humans, know when they are being watched.

It's the current working theory for ancestral knowledge. The DNA is thought to provide the physical framework but the morphic resonant field provides the knowledge transmission to consciousness. Nothing that material science has come up with can explain consciousness. What shamans and medicine people have been saying since the beginning of time about the physical universe being conscious now has some truth to it.

Yes I believe the universe is conscious... no, I don't think morphic resonance is a complete explanation... but it's better than material reductionism in its attempts to do so.

Wow thank you foreigner I will be looking into that it's sounds good to me. feels right like we are on the right path. I dunno Im super interested in such things but at the same alot of people are to closed to believe a possibility.but I believe much moremore far fetched things spiritually, anything is possible I guess.if you know other routes to study related phenomena other than searching morphic resonance
